Volleyball Tips on How to be a Good Teammate

Nike Volleyball campers will learn to bond off on and off the court to build meaningful friendship's as teammates with other volleyball players in the area.

In all sports, it is important to be a good teammate not only on the court but off the court too. It is important for teammates to develop strong relationships with each other to make for a successful playing environment. Teammates keep each other motivated to be the best on the court and work hard throughout each practice and game. At Nike Volleyball Camps, our camp directors and staff emphasize the importance of positive encouragement between their camp teammates on and off the court. Check out some tips below on how to be a great teammate!

Tip #1 Get to know your teammates off the court, and become friends. This builds trust and develops rapport between teammates so they can trust each other on the court. This can be done through quality communication and team bonding activities.

Tip #2 A good teammate is willing to play any role to make the team successful. This could be playing a different position or even just supporting another player.

Tip #3 Lead by example. A player who is on time, gives 100% effort, encourages others, and has a positive mentality will always add value to any team. A good teammate provides support and accountability for others.
