Our 5-week program combines the perfect blend of strength training, sprint-specific mechanics, and velocity training - focusing on the unique demands of sprinters. From mastering your acceleration to achieving optimal top speed and max velocity, this program will prepare you to crush the competition when the season starts.
What You’ll Get in Our 5-Week Program:
Acceleration Development
Master the critical first steps out of the blocks. We focus on building explosive strength in your lower body to improve your drive phase and boost your start.
- Key Focus: Short sprints, heavy lifts, and plyometric drills
- Results: Faster starts, better initial acceleration, and reduced reaction times
Top Speed Training
Once you’ve accelerated, it’s all about maintaining maximum velocity for as long as possible. These weeks are dedicated to sprint mechanics and technique work to perfect your form at high speeds.
- Key Focus: Speed endurance, upright running mechanics, and relaxation at top speed
- Results: Improved ability to hold speed over the duration of your race and prevent deceleration
Power Training
Sprint power is the key to both acceleration and maintaining speed. This week focuses on building power through resistance sprints, overspeed work, and specific strength movements that translate to the track.
- Key Focus: Power-building exercises and speed-strength integration
- Results: Increased max velocity and stronger drive phases
Running Mechanics
We finish with a full breakdown of your sprint mechanics to ensure all the pieces fit together seamlessly. You’ll undergo video analysis and targeted drills to fine-tune your technique so that every movement is efficient and powerful.
- Key Focus: Drills for stride length, foot placement, and posture
- Results: A fine-tuned sprinting form to extract every bit of speed from your body
