The Nike Track & Field Camp at Benedictine University gives Middle and High School sprinters, jumpers and hurdlers a true collegiate training experience.

Camp is led by Benedictine University's own Asst. Track & Field and Cross-Country Coach, Ernest Downing Jr. and rounded out with best-in-class staff including college coaches, Jr. Olympic club coaches, and collegiate athlete counselors.

Campers spend the camp week pushing their limits with exclusive access to Benedictine University's premier track & field stadium in Lisle, Illinois for the full duration of camp.

This Nike Track and Field Camp will offer: speed development and sprint mechanics, hurdle technique, jump rhythm, mobility and flexibility, and plyometrics training, pre-race warm-up strategy and injury prevention.

We offer the following sibling discounts for our running camps:

  • $15 off for weekend clinics

  • $20 off for day camp sessions

TEAM DISCOUNT

Teams of five (5) or more athletes receive a discount of $50/athlete, and for every five (5) athletes attending, one coach can come to camp for free (housing and meals on us!) and receive a complimentary staff product package. Please email [email protected] for more information

INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT & FACILITY

  • Ratio: 1:10 staff to camper ratio
  • Grouped by: age, ability, and event
  • Evaluation: by coaching staff
  • Equipment: Campers should bring at least one pair of broken in running shoes. Event shoes/spikes are recommended but not required. Please be sure to properly mark your equipment, so that it can be easily identified.
  • Facility: North Greenville University Track & Field and surrounding grass trails

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation is not provided. Campers are responsible for getting to and from camp on their own. There is no supervision before or after camp hours so please make arrangements to pick up your child on time.

CHECKLIST OF THINGS TO BRING:

Below is a suggested list of clothes, equipment and personal items. US Sports Camps is NOT responsible for lost or stolen articles or money.

  • Extra Athletic clothing
  • 1-2 pairs of broken in running shoes
  • Non-running shoes
  • Water bottle
  • Sunblock
  • Small gym bag/backpack
  • Packed lunch and snack(s)

GEAR UP FOR CAMP

All Nike Cross Country Campers receive a Nike camp t-shirt as part of their tuition. Additional Nike Camp gear is available for purchase at check-out or can be purchased at any time on our storefront.

MEDICAL PROTOCOL

Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

CAMP TUITION PAYMENTS

Full payment of camp fees must be completed by the first day of the month before camp. For example:

  • June Camps: final payment is due on May 1
  • July Camps: final payment is due on June 1
  • August Camps: final payment is due on July 1

Any camper with an unpaid balance 10 days before the start of their camp will forfeit all camp fees paid to date and be removed from the camp.

Your confirmation email shows your balance due and balance due date. Final payments can be made through the US Sports Camps Customer Portal or by phone at 1-800-645-3226.

BEHAVIOR POLICIES

We may ask campers who require 1×1 supervision, disrupt the camp experience, or threaten the safety of themselves or others to leave camp. Behaviors meriting expulsion include, but are not limited to: a cause or threat of violence, putting themselves or others in danger, possession of a weapon, possession or use of alcohol, tobacco, nicotine, drugs or illegal substance, robbery, damage to property, sexual misconduct or assault, harassment, hazing, racist remarks or acts, or intimidation. In those cases, we will contact a parent to pick up the child immediately. We do not issue refunds to campers who are asked to leave camp.

CANCELLATION DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER

In the event a camp day is cancelled or camp hours are adjusted due to inclement weather, we will make every effort to provide make-up time. If make-up time is not possible, no refund will be issued for the first cancelled day or any shortened hours. If additional full days are cancelled and cannot be rescheduled, a pro-rated camp credit voucher will be issued for each cancelled day beyond the first.

  • Yes, campers are supervised by the coaches and staff. Staff members reside in the same dorms as the campers and provide supervision during instruction, dining times, evening activities, and in the dorm. All staff members complete criminal and sex offender background checks before working the camp.

  • We welcome individual campers and teams. If you come to camp by yourself, we place you in a dorm room with another single camper, similar in age. It's a great place to meet new friends who share your enthusiasm for the sport and to have FUN!
