  • June 20: 2017: They are good at making sure we do lots and lots of volleyball and some conditioning but I like that they pushed us to our limits without overstepping the boundaries. They also have lots of helpful drills that I'd love to utilize for when I practice volleyball back at my school.
  • The staff at Albright College works well with every individual. They mix things up every day with games, drills, or exercises to help us improve. They bond well with every camper which, I think, helps the campers learn.

Luck led her squad to a second place regular season finish in the MAC Commonwealth with a 12-5 conference record and a 18-8 overall record a season ago. The conference record was good enough for the MAC Commonwealth two seed seeing Albright host their first playoff game since the 2017 season. Luck coached one of the most prolific players in Albright history in Gabby Boggs, who graduated at last seasons end. Luck led Boggs to program records in career rebounds & blocks as well as coaching Boggs to finishing as the programs third all time leading scorer. Luck will return two starters from a season ago including 2nd team All-MAC selection Mackenzie Dover looking to build off a fantastic 2022-23 campaign.

Luck is back at the helm for her 20th season as the head coach of the Albright women's basketball program. The Lions were tabbed as the third best team in the MAC Commonwealth preseason coaches poll receiving two first place votes. Already being the winningest coach in school history, Luck has the Lions poised for another postseason run in the MAC Commonwealth and beyond looking to add to the already impressive career win total.

The winningest coach in Albright women's basketball history, Janice Luck, will enter her 19th season as Head Women's Basketball Coach at Albright in 2021. In the 2021 season Luck led the Lions to the semi-final of the MAC Commonwealth Tournament. During the season Luck coached Gabby Boggs to the being just the third player in Albright's history to achieve 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds during a career.

Luck led a bounce-back season in 2019-20 as the Lions finished 22-6, and qualified for the NCAA Tournament for the fifth time in program history. In the tournament, Albright dropped a 68-46 decision to Williams in the first round. The Lions also made their fifth MAC Commonwealth Tournament championship game in six seasons, and fell 78-69 to Messiah. Luck helped coach Dejah Terrell to WBCA All-American honors, and Gabby Boggs to MAC Commonwealth defensive player of the year honors.

2018-19 saw the Lions have to replace all five starters from a season ago and Luck guided the Lions to a six-game winning streak from Dec. 20 - Jan. 19 en route to a 12-13 record. Albright was in contention for a spot in the MAC Commonwealth Tournament until the final week of the regular season.

Luck earned her third straight MAC Commonwealth Coach of the Year award.

Luck coached junior Alysha Lofton to WBCA All-America Honorable Mention recognition. Lofton also earned All-MAC Commonwealth First Team honors, joining four other teammates on the all-conference teams.

After winning just 15 games in her first three seasons, Coach Luck took the program all the way to the NCAA Tournament for the first time ever in 2007-08.

That building process reached its pinnacle during the 2015-16 season when the Lions produced the greatest season in the history of the school. Albright won a school-record 27 games and finished the year with a 27-3 overall mark. Albright captured the MAC Commonwealth Tournament title for the first time in school history and notched its first-ever victory in the NCAA Tournament with a win over Husson. The Lions advanced to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament and finished the season ranked in the top 10 of both the USA Today Sports and the D3hoops.com Top 25 polls. Kelecia Harris became the first player in school history to earn First Team All-America honors as she was named to the Women's Basketball Coaches Association team.

For her efforts, Luck was named the MAC Commonwealth, ECAC South and WBCA District 4 Coach of the Year.

The 2012-13 season saw the emergence of new young nucleus led by Harris who was named the Mid-Atlantic Region and ECAC South Rookie of the Year and a member of the national All-Freshman team.

In 2010-11, Luck earned her 100th career victory with a 69-49 win over cross-town rival Alvernia.

In 2009 Luck led the Lady Lions to the postseason for the third consecutive year. With a 17-10 record, Luck coached two 1,000 point scorers, a first and second team All-Conference selection, the Commonwealth Conference Player of the Year, and the program's first D3Hoops.com first team Mid-Atlantic All-Region honoree. Luck also helped the Red and White to defeat two top-20 nationally ranked opponents in DeSales University and Messiah College. At the conclusion of the season, Brehane Dillon became the first All-American in program history with an honorable mention from WDIII News.

In the 2007-08 season, Luck guided Albright to new heights, recording the most wins in program history with 20. Luck was also responsible for leading her team to their second consecutive conference tournament and its first ever trip to the NCAA Tournament. For her incredible efforts with the Red and White, Luck was named Mid-Atlantic Regional Coach of the Year.

In 2006-07, Luck qualified for the league tournament and led Albright to an 18-win season, her best record up to that point. Her Lions finished the year with an overall record of 18-10, while managing a conference record of 10-4 that earned them the number two seed in the conference tournament. Albright also earned its first ECAC Tournament bid in program history.

The 2005-06 season marked a new beginning for both Luck and the women's basketball program at Albright. After compiling a program best 14-win season, Luck was named Commonwealth Conference Coach of the Year.

Luck is a 1996 graduate of Albright College with a B.S. in psychology and business.

Luck originally came to Albright in the fall of 1992, and her athletic experience was not limited to the basketball court. Luck started for three years on the Albright field hockey team, and was a team captain her junior and senior seasons.

For the Lion basketball team, she started all four years, and was a team captain for three years. As a point guard, Luck ran the Albright attack like few who came before her. When her last game had finished in February of 1996, she held every school record for assists, including most in a game, season, and career. Not just a passer, Luck also set the school mark for three-point baskets in a game with six.

Upon graduation Luck made the transition from player to coach as she joined the Albright staff as an assistant. In her first year on the Lions' staff, she helped direct Albright to the conference tournament for the first time in five seasons. Luck spent two years as an Albright assistant before heading to West Chester University to pursue her master's degree in sports administration. During that time, she took a graduate assistant position on the West Chester coaching staff.

Following one year at West Chester, Luck returned to her alma mater to work in the Albright admissions department. While not involved in coaching the Lady Lions at that time, she remained deeply involved with the game, coaching in a high school girls summer league and serving as camp director of the Future Stars Girls Basketball Camp.
