Join us this summer at Mission College Preparatory Catholic High School for fun and learning on the court! Campers of all abilities will train with Nike Volleyball Camp Director, Lyndsey Weisenberg, while enjoying a supportive and exciting atmosphere.

    Lyndsey Weisenberg is a Nike Volleyball Camp Director and Director of Operations at Pepperdine University.

    Lyndsey Weisenberg, a 2004 graduate of Pepperdine, entered the role of Director of Operations with the women’s volleyball team in January of 2016. She joined the staff as a volunteer assistant in March of 2015 before changing roles. She is currently entering her fifth season on the sidelines with the Waves in any fashion.

    Weisenberg (née Hache’) was a standout member of the Waves’ women’s volleyball team from 2000-03, where she also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She continued her education at Pepperdine, earning her Master of Arts in Education, while earning a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential in 2006.

    On the court for the Waves, Weisenberg was an instrumental player, and is still a prominent name in the record books for her efforts in the rally-scoring era. She was the annual leader in 2001 with 77 total blocks, in 2002 with a .386 hitting percentage and 111 total blocks and in 2003 with 126 total blocks.

    She ranks 1st all-time in single-match records with 13 total blocks in five sets at Gonzaga on Oct. 17, 2003, 2nd for a .812 hitting percentage (13-0-16) against Loyola College on Sep. 13, 2002 and 3rd with a .786 hitting percentage (11-0-14) at Saint Mary’s College on Oct. 19, 2001.

    She ranks 3rd in single-season records with a .386 hitting percentage (112 sets in 2002), 4th with 126 total blocks (107 sets in 2003) and is tied for 8th with a 1.18 blocks/set average (107 sets in 2003). In her career, she ranks 4th all-time with a .333 hitting percentage after tabbing 911 kills in 321 sets.

    Throughout her career, she tabbed three All-WCC First Team nods (01, 02, 03) and AVCA All-Region status (02). In the classroom, she garnered CoSIDA Academic All-District honors (03) and was named WCC All-Academic (03) and to the WCC Commissioner’s Honor Roll with bronze honors (03).

    She was also a team captain in 2003 and was named Pepperdine Student-Athlete of the Year in 2004. She was a member of the Leadership Team/God Our Awesome Lord (G.O.A.L.), a Christian athlete’s group from 2000-04, as well as a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee from 2002-04 and served as chairperson during the 2003-04 school year.

    Before joining the Waves' ranks, she worked with Los Angeles Volleyball Academy (LAVA) in Thousand Oaks, Calif. where she served as assistant coach to the 15-Adidas squad and head coach to LAVA Lite since September 2014.

    Prior to her stint at CLS, she worked as a volleyball coach at Sports Shack Volleyball Club in Beverly Hills, Calif. from 2012-14 and Manawatu Volleyball Association in Palmerston North, New Zealand from 2011-12 as a development officer. From 2008-10, Weisenberg was stationed in Monrovia, Calif. where she worked at The Little Gym as an instructor and office manager.

    Shortly after graduating from Pepperdine, she was the volleyball coach at Oaks Christian High School in Westlake Village, Calif. While she attended school, Weisenberg also served as a volleyball coach at Sports Shack Volleyball Club from 2002-05.

    Thomas Trokey, or Coach Tom, as he is better known brings 30 years of coaching experience. His experience extends from coaching elementary school teams to D2 level teams to coaching 17u travel teams. His camp experience is extensive as well, working with ESPN, Baylor University, Mercadel Academy Camps and as a skill and talent evaluator for ScoutsFocus,

    Coach Tom got his start in collegiate women’s basketball serving as an assistant coach for 4 years in the CCCAA, 2012-2013 at Mira Costa College and 2013-2016 at Santa College. Playing an integral part in leading Santa Ana College into CCCAA post season play in 2014-15. While at Santa Ana College he assisted in achieving a 100% graduation for all three years.

    His D2 experience began in 2016-17 season as an Assistant Coach at Concordia University in the Pac West D2 Conference, where he helped guide the Eagles to a 10-16 record and 8-12 mark in the PacWest Conference. The team's performance improved from 2-23 the season prior. In the classroom, the team increased its grade point average from 2.5 to 3.1.

    2016-2019 Coach Tom help lead the Coyotes of Cal State San Bernardino to 2 consecutive years of post season player. While being instrumental in Jasmine Saucer’s achievement of 1st Team honors

    2019-2020 he became the Head Assistant Coach at Cal State East Bay where his involvement of a WE over ME culture to lead the Pioneer’s into the second round of postseason play.

    Coach Tom is known for is positive attitude, high energy and calm teaching approach to the game. His whisper criticism shout praise approach has proven to increase confidence and belief in one’s self. He often points to his head and says “if this thing is messed up this thing does not know what to do” (pointing to his body) or “Hey you’re only one shot away from being on fire”. His training and coaching focus on mastering the fundamentals while learning how to control your mind.

    His endless recruiting efforts, ability to recognize talent and build relationships instantly is second to none. He is known throughout the basketball community at all levels, JC to D1 across the country and has found many young athletes their next step in sports.

    He often compares what is happening on the court to real life.

    Coach Tom grew up in St. Louis, MO and played collegiately at Washington University in St. Louis where he received his bachelor's in business. As well played on the ABA-St. Louis Spirits practice squad.

    Coach Tom is married to Sarah Smith who is a chef/culinary teacher at Serra Continuation High School. They have enjoyed hosting over 60 International students from across the world in the Mission Viejo home. They look forward to life on the Central Coast.

Camp Details

JULY 13-17: ALL SKILLS CAMP

  • Open To: Girls, ages 7-14
  • Daily Hours: 9:00am-3:00pm
  • Check-In: 8:30 on day 1
  • Lunch: Lunch is not provided. Please bring a sack lunch to camp each day.
  • Program: Offers high-energy training focused on fundamental skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Athletes will build a solid foundation and boost confidence in a positive, energetic environment. Recommended for all positions and abilities. Campers may be grouped by age, skill, or experience at the Director’s discretion.

Please note: Camp schedules and details are subject to change. If important updates occur before camp begins, we’ll notify registered campers by email and update this webpage.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?

  • Instruction: Daily volleyball training
  • Supervision: Campers are supervised by staff during camp hours.
  • Camp T-shirt & Prizes: Campers at multi-day camps will receive a Nike Volleyball Camps t-shirt and prizes. *1-day clinics excluded.
  • Volleyballs: Volleyballs are provided for instruction during camp. Campers may purchase a Camp Volleyball at the time of registration, which will be given out on the last day of camp. Fun tip: Have your camp friends sign your ball before you leave!
  • Facility: Indoor courts
  • Medical Protocol: Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.
  • Transportation: Transportation is not provided. Campers are responsible for getting to and from camp on their own. There is no supervision before or after camp hours so please make arrangements to pick up your child on time.

TEAM/GROUP DISCOUNTS

If you have a group of 4 or more campers registering for the same camp, each camper is eligible for a $25 discount. If you have a group of 8 or more campers registering for the same camp, each camper is eligible for a $45 discount. Discounts are not available for camps priced at $250 or less. Please fill out the Team Discount - Volleyball form and we will create a unique discount code for your group.

Camps are open to any and all entrants, limited only by number, age, grade level and/or gender.

FAQ

  • If you need to cancel for any reason up until 24 hours prior to camp check-in, you will receive a camp credit voucher for tuition fees paid that is good through the following year for any sport and is transferable to any immediate family member. Participants who DO NOT attend their registered session (no-shows for any reason) or who do not contact USSC to cancel at least 24 hours prior to camp check-in will not receive a voucher or refund.

  • Yes! To save your spot at camp, a deposit is due at registration:

    • $150 for Day and Half Day camps
    • $300 for Overnight and Extended Day camps
    • Camps under $150 must be paid in full at registration.

    Your remaining balance is due on the 1st of the month before your camp begins:

    • June camps → due May 1
    • July camps → due June 1
    • August camps → due July 1

    Any camper with an unpaid balance 10 days before camp will forfeit all fees paid and be removed from the camp.
