    Jessup University formally announced Kyle Steele as head coach of both the men's and women's volleyball programs in March of 2024. Steele made the jump to Rocklin after a very successful stint as the head men's volleyball coach at OUAZ in Surprise, Ariz. After one season in Rocklin, Steele holds a record of 34-22 across both programs, having guided the Warriors to the NCCAA National Championship Game in both men's and women's volleyball.

    "I'm excited to be a part of Jessup and the culture," said Steele on coming to Jessup. "I'm also excited to be a part of the PacWest and expound on my experience as a volleyball coach in the NCAA."

    • Steele's first season in Rocklin could not have been scripted any better. Taking over both the men's and women's volleyball program, Steele finished with a winning record with both programs as both seasons ended in the NCCAA National Championship Game. Men's Volleyball, which was competing in its first season, won 12 of 13 sets in the NCCAA Tournament to cap off a National Championship. Women's Volleyball finished 11-9 in their first PacWest season before losing to Grace in the NCCAA Championship Game. Four women's volleyball players ended the season as CSC Academic All-Americans.

    During his tenure with the Spirit, which began in 2017, Steele built OUAZ into one of the most dominant men's volleyball programs in the NAIA. Steele guided his team to three consecutive NAIA National Tournament berths and consistently kept the Spirit ranked inside the top five.

    OUAZ won 112 games under Steele. He joined the university after spending three seasons as the head women's volleyball coach for Oklahoma City University, where he guided the Stars to a 73-25 record and a Sooner Athletic Conference Championship.

    Steele came to Jessup with 185 wins as a collegiate head coach.

    Vice President of Athletics Lance Von Vogt said on the hiring of Steele, "Kyle's purpose, faith, character, family values, experience, and volleyball coaching acumen are second to none. He was the unanimous selection from our committee and administrative team to lead both our women's volleyball program as well as launch our men's volleyball program."

    Steele's first season in Rocklin was also be the first for the university's men's volleyball program. On the women's side, the Warriors are coming off back-to-back conference tournament appearances and will soon be competing in year one as an NCAA Division II institution.

    The 2024-25 season was be the second time in Steele's career that he took over a brand-new program, as his first season in Surprise was also year one of the men's volleyball program.

    On stepping in to lead a brand-new program, Steele added, "There are going to be some very tough challenges ahead. However, I think this will make for an awesome environment for Jessup. I'm looking forward to the challenges ahead, knowing it will be a tough road."

  • Program: The All Skills camp offers high-energy training focused on fundamental skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Athletes will build a solid foundation and boost confidence in a positive, energetic environment. Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff and placed into groups based on age and ability level.

PARKING INSTRUCTIONS

Please only park in the parking stalls. There is no parking up against the fence. There is street parking if you prefer to park on the street. Please do not block the main driveway, and do not park beyond the SynergyForce signs in the parking lot.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?

  • Instruction: Morning, afternoon and evening training sessions
  • Supervision: Campers are supervised by staff during camp hours
  • Meals: Meals are not provided, please bring a sack lunch every day.
  • Camp T-shirt & Prizes: Campers will receive a Nike Volleyball Camps t-shirt and prizes.
  • Volleyballs: Volleyballs are provided for instruction during camp. Campers may purchase a Camp Volleyball at the time of registration, which will be given out on the last day of camp. Fun tip: Have your camp friends sign your ball before you leave!

INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT & FACILITY

  • Ratio: 1:10 staff-to-camper ratio
  • Groupings: Campers are grouped by age, ability, and experience per the Director’s discretion.
  • Equipment Needed: Players should supply their own kneepads and have at least one pair of well-broken-in volleyball (court) shoes. Campers do not need to bring their own balls.
  • Facilities: Indoor courts
  • Medical Protocol: Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

TEAM/GROUP DISCOUNTS

If you have a group of 4 or more campers registering for the same camp, each camper is eligible for a $25 discount. If you have a group of 8 or more campers registering for the same camp, each camper is eligible for a $45 discount. Discounts are not available for camps priced at $250 or less. Please fill out the Team Discount - Volleyball form and we will create a unique discount code for your group.

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation is not provided. Campers are responsible for getting to and from camp on their own. There is no supervision before or after camp hours so please make arrangements to pick up your child on time.
