IMPROVE YOUR GAME AND HAVE SERIOUS FUN

Join us this summer at The Academy Volleyball Club for a fun and engaging volleyball camp! Campers will train with Nike Volleyball Camp Director, Justin Kean, in a positive and supportive environment that encourages learning and growth.

Open to girls and boys ages 5-14, this volleyball camp in Indiana focuses on building skills, confidence, and a love for the game. Athletes from Indianapolis and beyond will stay active, make new friends, and continue developing their volleyball fundamentals.

    Justin Kean is a veteran volleyball coach with more than 15 years of collegiate and club coaching experience, specializing in offensive systems, setter development, recruiting, and culture building.

    Justin Kean is a veteran volleyball coach with more than 15 years of collegiate and club coaching experience, specializing in offensive systems, setter development, recruiting, and culture building. Throughout his career, he has helped develop numerous All-Americans, all-conference performers, and award-winning student-athletes while building disciplined, high-performing team environments.

    Most recently, Kean served as Assistant Coach and Offensive Coordinator at Indiana State University, where he oversaw setter training, offensive development, recruiting coordination, and overall program growth. During his tenure, Indiana State athletes earned multiple conference and academic honors, including Freshman of the Year recognition.

    Prior to Indiana State, Kean spent three seasons at Indiana University East as Assistant Coach and Offensive Coordinator. His athletes collected NAIA All-American honors, all-region selections, and multiple conference awards, including two Setter of the Year recipients. In 2019, he was named Conference Assistant Coach of the Year.

    Before IU East, Kean spent eight seasons at Marian University, helping guide the program to sustained success while earning Mid-Central Region Assistant Coach of the Year honors in both 2017 and 2018. During his time at Marian, the program developed numerous all-conference and All-American athletes, including a conference Player of the Year.

    In 2025, Kean returned to The Academy Volleyball Club to lead boys youth programming and oversee boys recruiting initiatives. His club coaching background also includes major leadership and developmental roles with The Academy and Indiana Volleyball Academy, where he helped build training systems serving hundreds of athletes and coaches while overseeing large-scale youth programming, clinics, and league development.Known for his energy, offensive creativity, and athlete-first leadership style, Kean has built a reputation for developing setters, elevating team culture, and helping athletes maximize their potential both on and off the court.

    I am a Louisville native from a big volleyball family, and I started playing competitively at seven years old. From traveling with my parents and their teams to eventually leading teams of my own, volleyball has always been a huge part of my life. My coaching journey has included coaching at different clubs to men’s collegiate volleyball at Indiana Tech and women’s collegiate volleyball at Indiana University South Bend. Coaching athletes of all ages has allowed me to build meaningful relationships and create a community that feels like family. I’m passionate about helping players grow both on and off the court, and I’m excited to continue growing the volleyball community I love so much.

2026 CAMP OPTIONS

Camp schedules and details are subject to change. If important updates occur before camp begins, we’ll notify registered campers by email and update this webpage. Campers may be grouped by age, skill, or experience at the Director’s discretion.

JUNE 15-18: ALL SKILLS
  • Open To: Girls and boys, Ages 8-14
  • Daily Hours: 9:00am-3:00pm
  • Check-In: 8:30am on Day 1. Check in will be located next to court 1.
  • Lunch: Lunch is not provided. Campers should bring their own lunch.
  • Program: Offers high-energy training focused on fundamental skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Athletes will build a solid foundation and boost confidence in a positive, energetic environment. Recommended for all positions and abilities.
JUNE 15-18: LITTLE VOLLEYS
  • Open To: Girls and boys, Ages 5-10
  • Daily Hours: 9:00am-12:00pm
  • Check-In: 8:30am on Day 1. Check in will be located next to court 1.
  • Lunch: Lunch is not provided.
  • Program: Introduces the basics of volleyball. Campers will learn all the key skills and build a strong foundation for future growth. Recommended for players with no prior experience or less than a year of experience.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?

  • Instruction: Daily volleyball training
  • Supervision: Campers are supervised by staff during camp hours.
  • Facility: Indoor courts
  • Medical Protocol: Our camp will have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.
  • Transportation: Transportation is not provided. Campers are responsible for getting to and from camp on their own. There is no supervision before or after camp hours so please make arrangements to pick up your child on time.

TEAM/GROUP DISCOUNTS

If you have a group of 4 or more campers registering for the same camp, each camper is eligible for a $25 discount. If you have a group of 8 or more campers registering for the same camp, each camper is eligible for a $45 discount. Discounts are not available for camps priced at $250 or less. Please fill out the Team Discount - Volleyball form and we will create a unique discount code for your group.

  • Address: 6635 E 30th St Suite B, Indianapolis, Indiana 46219. The camp takes place at The Academy Volleyball Club, a private sports facility. Led by camp director Justin Kean. Popular with families from New York, Massachusetts, Vermont, and other states nationwide.

  • Sessions range from $195 to $450 for a 4-day camp. A deposit secures your spot, with the balance due by the 1st day of the month prior to camp starting.

  • This camp is for athletes ages 5 to 14, coed. All skill levels welcome. Campers may be grouped by age, skill, or experience.

  • 3 sessions across summer, from June 15 through June 18, 2026. Select your dates above to check availability.

  • This camp offers two formats: half-day, and day camp. Half-day runs 9 AM to 12 PM. Day camp runs 9 AM to 3 PM.

  • Select your session above and click "Add to Cart." A deposit secures your spot, with the balance due by the 1st day of the month prior to camp starting. After registration, you'll receive a Camp Information Packet with health forms and check-in details. Questions? Call 1-800-645-3226.

  • If you need to cancel for any reason up until 24 hours prior to camp check-in, you will receive a camp credit voucher for tuition fees paid that is good through the following year for any sport and is transferable to any immediate family member. Participants who DO NOT attend their registered session (no-shows for any reason) or who do not contact USSC to cancel at least 24 hours prior to camp check-in will not receive a voucher or refund.

  • Yes! To save your spot at camp, a deposit is due at registration:

    • $150 for Day and Half Day camps
    • $300 for Overnight and Extended Day camps
    • Camps under $150 must be paid in full at registration.

    Your remaining balance is due on the 1st of the month before your camp begins:

    • June camps → due May 1
    • July camps → due June 1
    • August camps → due July 1

    Any camper with an unpaid balance 10 days before camp will forfeit all fees paid and be removed from the camp.
