2014 Camp Information
Session I - JULY 9-12 - Total Player Development Camp: At Elmhurst we interested in developing the player to their fullest potential. Instruction focuses on functional training, attacking, supporting play, decision-making, shooting, defending, small-sided games, while using the Cutting edge process of “PERFECT PRACTICE.” No time is wasted as players are asked to “train with purpose,” and understand that “Creativity comes out of Structure.” We introduce the players to Classroom sessions, and train on TWO beautiful Field-Turf Fields. Full supervision and activities are provided for day campers during down time. Swimming is available in between sessions.
Teams are welcome! A Specialized Team Program is offered during Session I for teams interested in enhancing the Team concept. Focus will be on systems of play, combination play, possession with purpose, finishing, and leadership. Coaches are invited to attend.
Session II - JULY 25-27 - Specialized Attacker and Goalkeeper Program. Now in its 7th exciting year the Attacking Camp trains strikers and mid-fielders the art of scoring goals and the development of the attack! We teach how to create more chances, bending balls, ball striking, shot placement, and many other useful techniques to master the art of scoring! Our incredible staff includes college coaches and other high level coaches.
“Top Flight”Goalkeeper Program provides a balance of individual instruction, classroom video sessions, and pressure training that ensures every goalkeeper receives professional attention aimed at maximizing his/her experience. “Training under pressure” is one of the keys to being an Elite Goalkeeper. Our program pushes you to your limits in all phases of goalkeeper performance. Goalkeepers train as a group throughout the morning and afternoon and join their assigned team in the evenings.
Soccer balls may be purchased when you register for camp for an additional $15. Campers are not required to bring a ball to camp and purchasing one is optional.
24-hour supervision is an important feature of every NIKE Soccer Camp. Staff members reside in campers’ quarters and participate in all activities.
