COACH DITOMASSO'S CAMP HAS MOVED TO BENEDICTINE UNIVERISTY!

Coach Dave DiTomasso has joined forces with Spencer Pappas Head Men's Soccer Coach at Benedictine U. this summer to offer an exceptional collegiate overnight camp experience at Benedictine University. Please note this camp was formerly held at formerly at Elmhurst University with coach DiTomasso. This camp offers a great opportunity to strengthen your fundamentals and bring your game to the next level. Instruction focuses on functional training, attacking, supporting play, decision-making, shooting, defending, small-sided games, 11v11, and creativity. Goalkeeping training is provided. An incredible opportunity for young aspiring athletes to see what the life of a college student feels like. Camp is for ages 8-18. Campers must be 9 years old to stay overnight (8-year-olds are welcome as extended day campers).

Coach DiTomasso's camp was named one of North America’s Top 60 Summer Camps of 2017, according to the FlightNetwork travel agency.

Camp Coaches

  • Coach Di Tomasso Nike Soccer Camps 2016

    Camp Director Dave DiTomasso

    Coach Dave grew up Columbia, MD up until 18 years old, having some of the best coaches and playing on some of the top youth teams in the nation. While in High School he won Two State Championships and played in a third. His collegiate career started at The Ohio State University and then transferred to Jacksonville University, FL where he flourished with under Head Coach Denis Violet. (Manchester United) As a former professional player, Di Tomasso was a member of the United Systems of Independent Soccer League (USISL) Division III South Carolina Shamrocks and Baltimore Bays; and the "A" League Worcester Wildfire. He also played in Essen, Germany, for Schwarz Weiss Essen, a Third Division team.

    Pappas comes to Benedictine after serving as an assistant coach at the University of Detroit Mercy in the Horizon League since 2014. Pappas was involved in every facet of the program at Detroit Mercy, serving as camp coordinator, recruiting coordinator, scheduling coordinator, travel coordinator and video coordinator.

CAMP INFO:

This program is geared towards players of all abilities. Campers will work on mastering the proper fundamentals, techniques and advancing their overall skills and knowledge of the game. A great opportunity for players to learn through a mix of drills, games, and competitive play. With a number of different camp options for all to enjoy!

HOUSING

The information below is based on previous years and is subject to change each year.

  • Number of Campers Per Room: Two
  • Roommates: Rooms are assigned by age & roommate requests. Roommate requests must be mutual, If you don't have a roommate request, you will be placed in a room with someone near your age. It will be a great opportunity to meet someone new!
  • Linens: Not provided. Bring linens or sleeping bag, pillow, pillowcase, and a towel
  • Air Conditioning: A/C is available in dorms.

Residential

  • Extended-Day Camp Hours: Day 1: 1:00pm-8:30pm | Day 2: 9:00am - 8:30pm | Last Day: 9:00am-4:00pm
  • First Day Check-in: 11:00am-1:00pm at the on the first day of camp

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?

  • Instruction: Training from Dave DiTomasso's coaching staff
  • Overnight & Extended Day campers: Dormitory housing on campus and all meals are provided.
  • Day campers: Lunch is not provided
  • Supervision: Staff members reside in rooms strategically placed throughout the dorm to provide optimal supervision and participate in all activities
  • Camp T-shirt & Prizes: All campers receive a Nike Soccer Camps t-shirt and prizes

INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT, & FACILITY

  • Ratio: Low camper to coach ratio
  • Groupings: Campers are grouped by age, ability, and experience
  • Equipment Needed: All campers must bring soccer cleats, shin guards, athletic shoes, and a water bottle.
  • Facility:
  • Medical Protocol: Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation is not provided. Campers are responsible for getting to and from camp on their own. There is no supervision before or after camp hours so please make arrangements to pick up your child on time.

SOCCER BALLS

Nike Soccer Camp Balls can be purchased during registration. Players can choose between a size 3, 4 or 5 ball, which will be shipped out before camp. Shipping is included in the listed price. Please note that it is not required to bring a soccer ball to camp as they are provided by the staff for camp instruction. All sales are final.

TEAM DISCOUNT

If you have a group of 4 or more campers registering for the same camp, each camper is eligible for a $25 discount. If you have a group of 8 or more campers registering for the same camp, each camper is eligible for a $30 discount. Please fill out the Team Discount - Soccer form with the name of your group and the names of each camper enrolling in the camp and we will create a unique discount code for your group.

MEDICAL PROTOCOL

Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.
