Camp Details

Our year-round home at Timberline Lodge is the only ski resort in North America that is open for all 12 months, giving us the longest season of any ski resort in the world. We’ve been snowboarding on Mt. Hood for over 30 years, enjoying its year-round snow and two miles of top-to-bottom runs in the summer.

Speaking of "a lot of snow," Mount Hood averages over 500 inches of snowfall annually, and up on the Palmer Snowfield, it's not uncommon to reach snow depths of 30-50 feet (yes, feet!). On top of that, unlike many ski resorts in North America, Timberline relies on 100% natural snowfall, meaning you can shred REAL SNOW all year long.

How "good" do you need to be to come to camp? High Cascade is for EVERYONE. All snowboarders of all abilities are welcome!

Note: US Sports Camps, Inc. and Nike, Inc. are not sponsors, co-sponsors, owners or operators of the High Cascade Snowboard Camp. High Cascade Snowboard Camp is owned and operated by We Are Camp. We ride high atop Mount Hood's Palmer Snowfield, where—thanks to the elevation and geographic positioning—the area able to collect and maintain snow (a lot of snow!) the entire year. In addition to the pristine park, Timberline boasts over two miles of "skiable" terrain, accessible via two high-speed quad chairlifts throughout the summer months.

Our campus features a MaxAir Super Quad 14’ x 14’ trampoline. The MaxAir Super Quad features a smooth, powerful bounce with plenty of room to focus on mechanics and development of new tricks, from basic to advanced rotations. Campers, guest athletes, and Signature Session™ Pros will have endless options to progress, practice, and play with this cutting-edge setup. The setup on our campus dry slope varies, but typically features two down tubes and two boxes.

We are proud of the fact that everything we do as a camp, as a business, as a community member, and as an employer is to improve the lives of those around us. From making new friends to building self-esteem, learning something new, promoting responsibility, and discipline.

High Cascade’s mission is simple and honest:

“LIFE IMPROVEMENT THROUGH PEOPLE, PLACE, AND PASSION”

OBJECTIVE

Supporting our mission, our objective is to grow the sport of snowboarding. Let’s get people out of the house, off the phone, get them physical, get them socializing, pushing themselves, experiencing new places, and most importantly, get them to have fun.
Come ride with us. It will change your life!

HIGH CASCADE PARK ACCESS

Our campers have access to one of the largest and most comprehensive summer terrain parks ever built! The park includes jumps, rails, boxes, and transition features ranging in size for all riders of all abilities; and a beginner hike park. And it’s all accessible via 2 high-speed quad chairlifts and 4 private rope tows. All in all, it makes for 2+ miles of lift-accessed summer snowboard terrain.

More tricks have been learned, invented, and enjoyed on this stretch of snow than any other on Earth. From Peter Line’s back rodeos to Bode Merrill’s back seven one-footers, our parks and pipes have been the setting for iconic tricks done by legendary people. Although you can lap the parks on the high-speed quad, too, most choose to utilize the four private rope tows, and some folks even like to hike specific features. No matter how you choose to get up the hill, you’re gonna have a blast on the way down.
