This summer, experience an unforgettable baseball camp at Herr-Baker Field, home to the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders! At the Nike Baseball Camp, campers will be immersed in a positive and growth-oriented coaching environment. Our experienced staff—led by members of the Fond du Lac Spiders organization—will work closely with each player to enhance their fielding, hitting, and base-running abilities.

Camp Coaches

Sam Fonder

Camp Director

Sam Fonder will begin his first season as the Dock Spiders Field Manager in 2026. Fonder is a Northeast Wisconsin native and has been the Pitching Coach for the Dock Spiders for the past two seasons (2024-25). The Green Bay, Wisconsin native graduated from St. Norbert College (WI) in 2021, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and was a three-year letterwinner and team captain with the Green Knights baseball program.

Sam Fonder

Camp Director

This followed his prep career at Green Bay East High School (WI). Fonder is currently working towards earning a doctoral degree in sport psychology from Florida State University. He served as an Assistant Baseball Coach at Thomas County Central High School (GA) in 2025 and spent the 2023-24 season as the Mental Performance Consultant with Florida A&M University Baseball. Prior to arriving at Florida State, Fonder spent two seasons as a Graduate Assistant Coach at Springfield College (MA) where he earned his master’s in sport and exercise psychology. He also spent three seasons as an Assistant Coach with Ashwaubenon Legion Baseball (WI). He currently resides in Tallahassee, Fla., with his wife, Bella.
Ian Yunker

Pitching Coach

Ian Yunker enters his second season as a Coach for the Dock Spiders in 2026 and first as Pitching Coach. The Troy, Ohio native is the Assistant Coach and Pitching Coach at Parkland College (IL). At Parkland, Yunker works closely with the pitching staff while also contributing to recruiting and player development.

Prior to Parkland, Yunker spent two seasons at Wheeling University (WV) as a Graduate Assistant and Pitching Coach, also assisting with infielders and hitters in 2024. During his time at Wheeling, he helped lead the program to back-to-back Mountain East Conference tournament appearances for the first time in school history. Yunker also coached two summers (2023-24) with the Grand Lake Mariners of the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League, where his responsibilities included managing the pitching staff and coaching first base. A former pitcher, Yunker played collegiately at the University of South Carolina Upstate and Mars Hill University (NC), where he earned his bachelor’s degree in political science in 2023. He completed his master’s degree in sports administration from Wheeling University in 2025. Before his collegiate career, he was a standout at Tippecanoe High School in Tipp City, Ohio.

EJ Taylor

Hitting Coach

Taylor will begin his first season as the Dock Spiders Hitting Coach in 2026. The Oklahoma native is entering his second season as an assistant coach at Northern Oklahoma College in Enid, Oklahoma, working with hitters and infielders. In his first season on the NOC-Enid staff, Taylor help lead Jets hitters to a .465 on-base percentage.

The Jets offense ranked in the Top 5 nationally in that category and also ranked in the Top 5 nationally in doubles. Taylor also coached a national Gold Glove winner at first base. Prior to his position at NOC-Enid, he served as a graduate assistant at Southern Nazarene University (OK). Taylor was a standout player at Midwest City High School (OK) before joining NOC-Enid as a player in 2018. He set the NOC-Enid record for RBI in a season on his way to being named NJCAA All-American his freshman year. In 2019, he helped guide the Jets to a NJCAA National Championship, a first for the storied program. That same year, Taylor set the Jets record for walks in a season. He went on to play at the University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley, then transferred to Southern Nazarene University. While at SNU, he earned All-American honors for the second time and led the conference in batting average and on-base percentage. Taylor then went on to play one season for the Tucson Saguaros (Independent) and two seasons for the Williamsport Crosscutters (MLB Draft League).

Instruction will focus primarily on hitting, fielding, base-running, and game situations. You can expect high demand for these first come first serve camper spots, so please be sure to register early.

Age Group: 6-13
Camp Type: Day Camp
Schedule: Monday (6/8) 9:00am-2:00pm; Tuesday-Wednesday (6/9-10) 9:00am-12:00pm; Tuesday (6/9) GAME!
Check-In: Begins 30 minutes prior to the camp start time.
Meals: Lunch is not provided. Campers bring their own lunch.
GAME: Ticket voucher included for June 9 vs. Kalamazoo Growlers

Daily Baseball Instruction
Supervision: Campers are supervised by staff during camp hours

INSTRUCTION & FACILITY

Ratio: 1:10 staff to camper ratio
Groupings: Campers are grouped by ability, age, and experience, per the Director's discretion.
Facility: Outdoor Fields. No Indoor Facility.

MEDICAL PROTOCOL

Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

TRAVEL

Nike Baseball Camps does not provide transportation from airports, train stations or bus depots. If you have a child flying to camp, please arrange a shuttle or taxi service.

TEAM/GROUP DISCOUNT

If you have a team or group of 5 or more campers registering for the same camp, each camper may be eligible for a discount. To receive the group discount, please have someone email US Sports Camps at [email protected] with the following information: Camp name, list of camper names, and the number of campers. We will respond with a unique discount code for everyone in the group to use during online registration. *Note: Discount amounts vary by program, so please reach out for more details.
