No matter your skill level, Nike Baseball Camp Worcester State University offers training to help all campers achieve their goals. Our low camper-to-coach ratio ensures campers receive the attention and training they need to improve their game throughout the week. Whether it be long-term or short-term goals you have set for yourself, Directors Phil Price and Jack Rafferty and their coaching staff are determined to help you get a step closer to your accomplishments this summer.

    Worcester native Phil Price has been named the new Head Baseball Coach at Worcester State University on June 30th, 2022 by Director of Athletics, Michael Mudd.

    Price is the founder and President of Baseball Operations for Evolution Baseball out of West Boylston, Massachusetts, one of the top travel baseball programs in Massachusetts. The club has committed over 50 players to college baseball programs around the country since they were established five years ago. Price, a former baseball player at Fisher College, is well known in the Central Massachusetts baseball community for developing young baseball players into well-rounded young men, both on and off the field.

    While serving as the Head Coach at various age levels at the club level, Price is the head coach of the Evolution Baseball 17U team, which currently has five Division 1 baseball commits on their roster. Additionally, Price has coached at the high school level for both Quabbin and Oxford High School.

    Jack Rafferty brings a wealth of experience in organizing youth development programs through Evo Baseball and the All Skills Clinic, now presented by Nike Baseball. With a strong focus on fostering partnerships with local PTOs and recreation departments, Jack has successfully developed year-round training camps that emphasize both skill development and inclusivity for athletes of all levels.

    Jack also serves as the Catchers Coach and Baseball Operations Director with Worcester State Baseball. "Coach Raff" works closely with college-level coaches and experts to provide top-tier instruction in hitting, pitching, and fielding, ensuring that young athletes not only enhance their skills but also enjoy an engaging and rewarding experience.

Camp Details

Instruction will focus primarily on hitting, fielding, base-running, and game situations. You can expect high demand for these first come first serve camper spots, so please be sure to register early.

2026 SUMMER CAMP INFORMATION

  • Dates: August 10-13, 2026
  • Age Group: 7-13
  • Camp Type: Day Camp
  • Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 9:00am-3:00pm
  • Check-In: Begins 30 minutes prior to the camp start time.
  • Meals: Lunch is not provided. Please bring a snack/lunch to camp each day.
  • Aftercare: This camp offers aftercare from 3:00pm-4:00pm following each day of camp. All 4 days can be purchased for an additional $100.00 fee. (Note: you cannot purchase aftercare for individual days).

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?

  • Daily Baseball Instruction
  • Supervision: Campers are supervised by staff during camp hours
  • Nike Baseball Camp T-Shirt and potentially other prizes!

INSTRUCTION & FACILITY

  • Ratio: 1:10 staff to camper ratio

  • Groupings: Campers are grouped by ability, age, and experience, per the Director's discretion.

  • Facility: Outdoor Facility and indoor facility is available during inclement weather conditions.

CHECKLIST OF THINGS TO BRING:

Below is a suggested list of clothes, equipment, and personal items. Please note that US Sports Camps does NOT provide equipment and is NOT responsible for lost or stolen articles or money.

  • Small gym bag/backpack

  • Athletic clothing: t-shirt, shorts, softball pants (recommended)

  • Warm-up jacket

  • Hat

  • Cleats & sneakers

  • Baseball glove

  • Baseball bat

  • Helmet

  • Catchers gear (if applicable)

  • Sunscreen

  • Water bottle

  • Packed lunch and snacks

MEDICAL PROTOCOL

Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

TRAVEL

Nike Softball Camps does not provide transportation from airports, train stations or bus depots. If you have a child flying to camp, please arrange a shuttle or taxi service.

TEAM/GROUP DISCOUNT

If you have a team or group of 5 or more campers registering for the same camp, each camper may be eligible for a discount. To receive the group discount, please have someone email US Sports Camps at [email protected] with the following information: Camp name, list of camper names, and the number of campers. We will respond with a unique discount code for everyone in the group to use during online registration. *Note: Discount amounts vary by program, so please reach out for more details.

Worcester State Baseball Facility Photo

The Worcester State University baseball team plays on Kevin D. Lyons Baseball Diamond which was constructed in the Spring of 2011 and is adjacent on the left side of the softball field and includes bullpens and a batting cage. In 2014, Lyons Diamond received the ABCA/Turface Athletics College Field of the Year Maintenance Award. The field is operated by the City of Worcester Parks Department.
