Sign up for the Nike Baseball Camp with the Portland Pickles! Campers get to play right on the field at Walker Stadium and learn from an awesome coaching staff led by JJ Mascolo, along with Pickles players from top-tier college programs all across the country. Kids will sharpen their skills in fielding, hitting, base-running, and all-around fundamentals—while having an unforgettable summer experience. The goal? Every camper leaves with better baseball fundamentals, new friends, and lasting memories.

    JJ Mascolo Currently is the commissioner of the Wild Wild West league, a collegiate summer baseball league that serves as a minor league system for the Portland Pickles.

    From 2018-2021 Mascolo served as the head coach at Chemeketa Community College . The storm reached a regional in all years.

    Prior to Chemeketa Mascolo was an Assistant coach at D1 Fresno State University where they captured a Mountain West Championship.

    In 2014-15 Mascolo Served as an Assistant Coach at Western Oregon University winning two GNAC Titles.

    In the summer of 2013, Mascolo led Post 58 Salem, Ore., based AAA American Legion team to a State Championship, and received State Coach of the year honors.

    As a Player Mascolo Attended WOU winning two GNAC titles and receiving 2nd team all-American honors at Shortstop.

    Mascolo has a Bachelor's degree in exercise science and physical education. He resides in Silverton Oregon.

    Nick Fleck lives in Portland, Oregon with his wife, Aubry. Nick played baseball at Everett CC & Western Oregon University. He graduated in 2011 with a B.S. in Exercise Science. Nick coached 4 years at Centralia College until 2014. In 2015 he joined the coaching staff at Union High School. Aside from coaching at Union in the spring, he is also the international manager of the Portland Pickles.

    Jace Brown lives in Portland, Oregon with his wife, Reggie. Jace played baseball for Cal State Long Beach and independent ball in the Golden Baseball League from 1999 through 2003. Jace went on to gain a BA in design from the Academy of Art University in San Fransisco along with a degree in Business Leadership at USC. Since then Jace has coached and managed indie baseball for the MSBL, NABA, and PABC. In the summer of 2019 Jace joined the international coaching staff for the Portland Pickles.

Camp Details

This camp is designed for youth baseball players of all abilities, who are looking to improve and enhance their skills while having a great time. The campers will be instructed by the Pickles coaches and players, each camper will have the opportunity to take instruction and work one-on-one with Pickles players that come from a wide range of nationally renowned college baseball programs from around the country.

Instruction will develop fundamentals and advanced skills, focusing on hitting, position-specific training, base-running, team play, and game situations. On the 5th day, campers will get to show off what they've learned in scrimmages. Our goal of these camps is for each participant to walk away with a positive experience, better baseball fundamentals, and a smile on their face.

  • 5-Day Camp Dates: July 27-31, 2026
  • 4-Day Camp Dates: June 22-25, 2026 | July 20-23, 2026 | August 3-6, 2026
  • 3-Day Camp Dates: June 22-24, 2026 | July 20-22, 2026 | July 27-29, 2026 | August 3-5, 2026
  • Age Group: 7-13
  • Camp Type: Half Day Camp
  • Schedule: 8:30am-1:00pm (Latest pickup time is 1:30pm)
  • Check-In: Begins 30 minutes prior to the camp start time.
  • Meals: Lunch is not provided. Please bring a snack/lunch to camp each day.

  • Supervision: Campers are supervised by staff during camp hours

INSTRUCTION & FACILITY

  • Ratio: 1:10 staff to camper ratio

  • Groupings: Campers are grouped by ability, age, and experience, per the Director's discretion.

  • Facility: Outdoor Fields. Indoor facilities are available during inclement weather conditions.

MEDICAL PROTOCOL

Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

TRAVEL

Nike Baseball Camps does not provide transportation from airports, train stations or bus depots. If you have a child flying to camp, please arrange a shuttle or taxi service.

TEAM/GROUP DISCOUNT

If you have a team or group of 5 or more campers registering for the same camp, each camper may be eligible for a discount. To receive the group discount, please have someone email US Sports Camps at [email protected] with the following information: Camp name, list of camper names, and the number of campers. We will respond with a unique discount code for everyone in the group to use during online registration. *Note: Discount amounts vary by program, so please reach out for more details.
