at Nike Basketball Camps

Join Garrett Lever and staff in Mesa, AZ this summer 2025 and train at the Arizona Athletic Grounds (formerly called Legacy Sports Complex). This camp is open to boys of all abilities for a week of high-energy drills, encouraging instruction, and scrimmages all formulated to help improve your confidence in the game and increase your basketball IQ.

The Complete Skills Camp helps players of all abilities develop athletically, refine fundamental basketball skills and enhance their skill set at the post, wing or guard position.

    Garrett is the founder of Playmaker Sports Brand. He is a native of Arizona who recently moved back to the Valley after a seven year stint as an Assistant Coach for Weber State University Men’s Basketball and four years playing collegiate basketball.

    In his time at Weber State, he was a part of two Big Sky Championship teams and took two trips to the NCAA Tournament. One of his main roles was leading the player development program. The players he worked with include NBA Draft pick Joel Bolomboy and Jeremy Senglin, Weber State’s all time leading scorer and All-Conference player Jerrick Harding.

    As a player, Garrett started at Division II Nebraska-Kearney and finished at Division 1 Seattle University. He earned Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year and he led the country in steals at Nebraska-Kearney. He then transferred to nationally ranked Midland College where they were National Champion runners-up. Lever then received a scholarship to D1 Seattle University where he finished his career as top 5 steals leader in school history after two years.

    Garrett is also the son of former NBA All-Star Lafayette “Fat” Lever who played 11 seasons in the NBA with the Portland Trail Blazers, Denver Nuggets and Dallas Mavericks. Fat was a two time NBA All-Star and ranks 22nd in NBA history in career steals.

    Born and raised in Chicago, IL, Tyree York is a dedicated basketball trainer known for helping athletes achieve their full potential. A former collegiate athlete and the founder of GREAT Training, Tyree brings extensive knowledge and experience to his programs.

    Graduating from Roosevelt University with a Bachelor in Hospitality Administration/Management in 2015, Tyree was the starting point guard and team captain for the Roosevelt University Lakers, achieving impressive stats including 1,455 points, 635 assists, and 193 steals.

    In January 2019, Tyree founded GREAT Training, and in September 2019, he moved the organization to Chandler, AZ. He also served as an assistant coach at Paradise Valley High School for the 2019-2020 season.

    Tyree's training sessions focus on fundamental skills and advanced concepts, tailored to individual athlete goals. GREAT Training engages 50-60 athletes monthly and includes coaching multiple YMCA teams, leading the 5th/6th grade team to win two championships at the Footprint Center.

    Tyree's unique ability to connect with athletes extends beyond physical training to emotional resilience and personal development. His work has helped countless athletes improve their performance and develop the discipline needed for success in all areas of life, making him a true leader in sports training.

Camp Details

June 2-5, 2025

  • Check in: Monday at 8:30am
  • Closing Ceremony: Thursday at 2:30pm
  • Meals: Lunch is not provided. Please bring a packed lunch or money to purchase lunch.
  • Daily Hours: MON-THURS 9AM-3PM

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?

  • Instruction: Morning and afternoon training sessions
  • Supervision: Campers are supervised by staff during camp hours
  • Lunch: Lunch is not provided, please bring a sack lunch each day
  • Camp T-shirt & Prizes: Campers at multi-day camps will receive a Nike Basketball Camps t-shirt. *1-day clinics and fall, winter and spring camps excluded.
  • Basketballs: Basketballs are provided for instruction during camp

TEAM DISCOUNT

If you have a group of 5 or more campers registering for the same camp, each camper is eligible for a $25 discount. If you have a group of 10 or more campers registering for the same camp, each camper is eligible for a $40 discount. Please fill out the Team Discount - Basketball form with the name of your group and the names of each camper enrolling in the camp and we will create a unique discount code for your group.

INSTRUCTION & FACILITY

  • Ratio: 1:10 staff-to-camper ratio
  • Groupings: Campers are grouped by ability, age, and experience, per the Director's discretion
  • Facility: Indoor courts
  • Medical Protocol: Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

BASKETBALLS

Nike All Court Elite Basketballs can be purchased during registration for $35. Players can choose between a size 6 (28.5", standard girls) or size 7 (29.5", standard boys) ball, which will be passed out on the last day of camp. Please note that it is not required to bring a basketball to camp as they are provided by the staff for camp instruction.

PRE-CAMP CHECKLIST

To view your customer account, complete your mandatory forms, pay balance dues, and review important camp information, visit Pre-Camp Checklist. All necessary camp information is on this page. If there are any imperative changes prior to camp start, registered campers will be notified via email and this webpage will be updated!

PACKING LIST

Below is a suggested list of clothes, equipment, and personal items. US Sports Camps is NOT responsible for lost or stolen articles or money.

CAMPER EVALUATION

Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff so that their own instructional needs can be addressed throughout the week. In addition, campers will be evaluated and then split up into smaller groups according to age and ability.

MEDICAL PROTOCOL

Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

COMPANY POLICIES

If you need to cancel for any reason up until 24 hours prior to camp check-in, you will receive a camp credit voucher for tuition fees paid that is good through the following year for any sport and is transferable to any immediate family member. Participants who DO NOT attend their registered session (no-shows for any reason) or who do not contact USSC to cancel at least 24 hours prior to camp check-in will not receive a voucher or refund. Cash refunds are given only if Cancellation Protection was purchased at the time of registration and the cancellation is made before your balance due date.

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation is not provided by the camp to or from any airports. If you are flying to or from camp, we recommend using an airport shuttle service. Please schedule flights as close as you can to the check-in times on the first day and check-out times on the last day.
