Improve your basketball game in Las Vegas at Bishop Gorman High School. Join us in the Spring & Summer of 2026 for camps offered for boys and girls to help improve your shooting accuracy, ball-handling, and team play skills. Train with the 2024 & 2025 state champion Head Men's Coach, Grant Rice, and the Bishop Gorman staff and make long-lasting friendships.

The Complete Skills Camp helps players of all abilities develop athletically, refine fundamental basketball skills and enhance their skill set at the post, wing or guard position.

    Head Coach

    Grant Rice has been the head basketball coach at Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, NV, since 2001. He has guided the Gaels to 13 Nevada State Championships and, in 2025, earned his 600th career victory as head coach.

    Coach Rice grew up in California and played high school basketball at Claremont High School. He played college basketball at UNLV. He and his wife, Brooke, have 3 children - Carli, Blake and Drew. His brother Dave was the head basketball coach at UNLV from 2011-2016 and is currently an assistant coach at the University of Washington.

    In addition to being the head basketball coach, Grant is the Athletic Director at Bishop Gorman and oversees 25 sports. Rice also served a four-year term on the NFHS Basketball Rules Committee from 2015-2018. He is currently the Co-Director of the Annual Tarkanian Classic Basketball Tournament in December as well as the Big Time AAU event in July. Rice was also Co-Director of the Las Vegas Fab 48 from 2010-2018.

    Coach Wright has been a coach for 25 years at Bishop Gorman High School and is starting his 21st year as the Varsity Men’s Basketball Associate Head Coach.

    A 1991 graduate of Bishop Gorman High School, Coach Wright received his Bachelor’s Degree from The University of Upper Iowa in 1998 and earned his Master’s Degree from Grand Canyon University in 2018.

    Prior to his return to his alma mater, he was chasing his dream of playing professional football, which he did overseas in Vienna, Austria and in the Arena Football League (AFL). Coach Wright ultimately realized his true calling of coaching and has made an impact on the lives of many athletes.

    Coach Wright has quite the assortment of state titles. winning two state championships in basketball as a player and acquiring more accolades as a coach of football, basketball, and track. He has more than 25 state titles to his name.

    Coach Berg is entering his 21st season as an assistant high school varsity basketball in Las Vegas. Coach Berg brings a diverse background of being an educator and a former college basketball player.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?

  • Instruction: Morning and afternoon training sessions
  • Supervision: Campers are supervised by staff during camp hours
  • Lunch: Lunch is not provided, please bring a sack lunch each day
  • Camp T-shirt: Campers at multi-day camps will receive a Nike Basketball Camps t-shirt. *1-day clinics and fall, winter, and spring clinics excluded
  • Basketballs: Basketballs are provided for instruction during camp

INSTRUCTION & FACILITY

  • Ratio: 1:10 staff-to-camper ratio
  • Groupings: Campers are grouped by ability, age, and experience, per the Director's discretion
  • Facility: Indoor courts
  • Medical Protocol: Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

BASKETBALLS

Nike All Court Elite Basketballs can be purchased during registration for $35. Players can choose between a size 6 (28.5", standard girls) or size 7 (29.5", standard boys) ball, which will be passed out on the last day of camp. Please note that it is not recommended to bring a basketball to camp as they are provided by the staff for camp instruction.

PRE-CAMP CHECKLIST

If there are any imperative changes prior to camp start, registered campers will be notified via email and this webpage will be updated!

Below is a suggested list of clothes, equipment, and personal items. US Sports Camps is NOT responsible for lost or stolen articles or money.

CAMPER EVALUATION

Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff so that their own instructional needs can be addressed throughout the week. In addition, campers will be evaluated and then split up into smaller groups according to age and ability.

MEDICAL PROTOCOL

Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

COMPANY POLICIES

If you need to cancel for any reason up until 24 hours prior to camp check-in, you will receive a camp credit voucher for tuition fees paid that is good through the following year for any sport and is transferable to any immediate family member. Participants who DO NOT attend their registered session (no-shows for any reason) or who do not contact USSC to cancel at least 24 hours prior to camp check-in will not receive a voucher or refund. Cash refunds are given only if Cancellation Protection was purchased at the time of registration and the cancellation is made before your balance due date.

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation is not provided by the camp to or from any airports. If you are flying to or from camp, we recommend using an airport shuttle service. Please schedule flights as close as you can to the check-in times on the first day and check-out times on the last day.
