Aaron Jacobsen

Aaron Jacobsen has directed the cross country and track programs at UC Santa Cruz since 2010. In that time he has expanded the program from women's cross country only to include men's cross country in 2011, and women's track in 2013.
Since 2010, the women's program has produced eight All-Region Award performers, two NCAA Championship individual qualifiers, and three West Region top-10 team performances. Just three years after reviving the long dormant men's cross country program, the team finished 6th at the 2013 West Region Championship. The men have also produced three All-Region Award performances and one NCAA Championship individual qualifier.
A Santa Cruz native, Jacobsen competed for UC Irvine while completing his B.A. in Political Science. He was a Big West Conference Scholar Athlete and member of the 2002 NCAA West Region All-Academic Team. Jacobsen holds a master's degree in kinesiology and is a former kinesiology lecturer at San Jose State University.
