Ali Houghton

Ali Houghton grew up in Utah where she played youth soccer with Utah Avalanche. Ali played college soccer as a four year starter at Soka University in Aliso Viejo, California.
Her senior year, she was named on the Cal-Pac all-conference all-region teams. During her time at Soka, she studied abroad in Quito, Ecuador where she learned Spanish and worked with the sport psychology department of a professional soccer team. Ali obtained her Master's degree from the University of Utah in Sport and Exercise Psychology. She currently coaches teams for Utah Avalanche in Salt Lake City, Utah. She has also assistant coached for the 2008 Utah ODP for two years. In addition to coaching Ali works as a sport psychology and summer camp consultant for Goals for Girls, a local non-profit that emphasizes community development and female empowerment through sport. When she isn't playing soccer or coaching, she is traveling to new places or enjoying a hike in the mountains.
