Allie Brewster

Pitching Coach

Allie Brewster - Pitching Coach

A former Stony Brook Hall of Fame pitcher, Brewster joined the Terriers as an assistant coach in August 2023 after spending the last five seasons on Cornell's staff.

Working primarily with the pitchers, she helped BU win three straight Patriot League titles and earn two NFCA Northeast Region Coaching Staff of the Year awards in 2024 and 2026, respectively.

"We are thrilled to welcome Allie to the BU Softball Family," said head coach Ashley Waters at the time of the announcement. "I could tell she was special from our first phone call. She has the drive and experience to help our pitchers continue their chase for excellence. She had a Hall of Fame career at Stony Brook, and we cannot wait to have that brilliance in our bullpen. She will be a wonderful addition to our program."

Similar to Waters, the 2008 America East Player of the Year and a member of Maine's Hall of Fame, Allie (Cukrov) Brewster arrived on Commonwealth Ave. quite familiar with the Terriers thanks to her collegiate playing days. A two-time America East Pitcher of the Year, Brewster went 2-1 at BU Softball Field her freshman year in 2012 and blanked the Terriers in their final game as a member of the America East in 2013.

Brewster posted a 77-40 career record with a 2.40 ERA, 34 shutouts and 685 strikeouts in 772.1 innings of work. The three-time All-AE First Team honoree established a school record for saves (13), joining her career marks for wins and complete game performances (81). She twice earned All-AE Tournament Team accolades and added MVP recognition as a sophomore. She recorded a pair of no-hitters, including a perfect game, her freshman season en route to NFCA All-Region honors.

Named one of 30 finalists for the 2015 Senior CLASS Award, Brewster graduated from Stony Brook with a degree in sustainability studies and then spent a year as the co-head coach and pitching instructor at the Chicago Bulls/Sox Academy in Lisle, Illinois. She followed up with two seasons as an assistant coach at Southwestern University (Texas), helping the squad reach the SCAC championship game both years.

In the summer of 2018, Brewster joined Cornell's staff, working closely with the team's pitchers while also helping in the program's daily operations and earning a master's in kinesiology (coaching) from Georgia Southern. This past season, the pitching staff held Penn State's bats in check for a thrilling 4-3 victory and the program's first Power Five win since 2013. The Big Red also posted two wins against eventual America East champion UMBC and Ivy League champion Harvard.
