Amanda Raso
Assistant Coach
Amanda Raso joined the MSU Denver staff as an assistant coach in January, 2024.
Raso had spent the previous four seasons as the head coach of Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference rival Western Colorado, establishing several program milestones while leading the Mountaineers to an overall record of 16-40-6, including 10-21-5 over the past two seasons. Her teams just missed the RMAC Tournament each of the past two seasons, finishing ninth each year.
Prior to Western Colorado, Raso had been an assistant coach at North Dakota for two seasons, helping the Fighting Hawks to their most successful season in their Division I era.
She was an assistant coach at her alma mater, Fort Lewis, for three seasons, from 2015 through 2017, where she was in charge of the team’s goalkeepers.
Prior to that Raso was a graduate assistant coach at Midwestern State (Texas) in 2014.
Raso was a goalkeeper at Fort Lewis from 2010 through 2013, compiling a career record of 26-7-6 with 11 shutouts, an 0.97 goals-against average and a .764 save percentage, and she ranks fourth in Skyhawk history in wins. She played for teams that were a combined 62-16-9, reached the 2010 national quarterfinals and were ranked as high as No. 2 during the 2012 season.
She is a graduate of Smoky Hill High School.
