Andrew Laurenzano

With a sharp tactical mind and a passion for mentoring student-athletes, Andrew Laurenzano joins the UMSV Men’s Soccer Coaching Staff ahead of the Spring 2025 season, bringing experience in both collegiate coaching and high-level playing. A former central midfielder with championship pedigree, Laurenzano is committed to developing players on and off the field.
Laurenzano played an integral role at SUNY Maritime College throughout 2024, leading the team’s Academic Guidance program, managing Social Media operations, and working directly with field players to refine their technical and tactical abilities. His influence contributed to the Privateers’ 7-5-5 record, and he helped guide them to a perfect 2-0-0 run at the Empire State Spring Soccer Classic.
During his playing career at the Catholic University of America, Laurenzano made 52 appearances, including 33 starts, as a central midfielder. He was a key figure in Catholic’s undefeated Landmark Conference campaign in 2019, leading the Cardinals to a conference title and an NCAA Tournament appearance. His leadership helped the team reach two Landmark Conference finals during his tenure.
Off the field, Laurenzano excelled academically, earning Landmark Conference Academic Honor Roll recognition in 2017 and 2018. He graduated from Catholic University with a bachelor’s degree in finance, combining his analytical mindset with a deep understanding of the game. Now, he brings his expertise, leadership, and commitment to player success to UMSV.
