Some of his accomplishments include a record of 638-106, 19 District Championships, 2014 Texas State Team Tennis Championship, 2001 Nike National Texas Team Coach, 2002-2003 Wilson Texas Tennis Coach of the Year,2005, 2009, 2014 USPTA Texas High School Coach of the Year, 2016 USPTA Texas College Coach of the Year, 2021 NAIA Red River Conference Champions, 2019 Texas Tennis Coach Hall of Fame inductee. Coach Martinez served as a Nike Tennis Youth Camp in the summer of 2025.
