Anne O'Byrne

Camp Director

Anne O'Byrne - Camp Director

Anne O'Byrne enters her first season as the Head Coach of the Curry College women's lacrosse program in 2018-19. O'Byrne spent the past year as the head coach of the Newbury College women's lacrosse program. In her only season with the Nighthawks, O'Byrne guided the squad to the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Quarterfinals.

O'Byrne takes over a program that went 4-11-0 in 2018 and last produced a winning season in 2016. The Colonels are slated to return 11 letter winners from the last season's roster.

During her time at Newbury, O'Byrne was involved in all facets of team operations: practice implementation, manage budget and fundraising efforts, promote the academic success of student-athletes through the facilitation of study hall hours, execute game preparation by scouting opponents, film analysis and strategy application. Additionally, O'Byrne was responsible for recruiting, working closely with admissions, and also served as game management for soccer, basketball, and volleyball home contests. Prior to her stop at Newbury, O'Byrne served as an assistant coach for the Wheelock College from August 2015 through November 2017.

O'Byrne received a bachelor's degree in political science and government with a minor in biological studies from Mount Holyoke College in 2013. While at MHC, she was a four-year member of the field hockey program. She also served as the captain of the field hockey team and was the Health and Wellness Chair on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
