During his time with the Vaqueros, he helped guide the program to national recognition, including a Top‑25 ranking, and played a key role in the development of 10 players who advanced to the professional level, including multiple MLS draft selections.

Across his coaching career, Massen has contributed to the development of numerous all‑conference performers and academic award winners, reflecting his commitment to growth both on and off the field.
