Barbara Soranzo

Camp Director

Coach Barbara Soranzo has coached volleyball to all age groups and possesses a unique mix of playing and coaching experience.

Originally from Brazil, Soranzo has competed in tournaments in Brazil, Italy, and the United States. Soranzo started at Des Moines Area Community College where she led her team to a deep tournament run at Nationals that finished in the Elite 8. Soranzo continued playing at Western New Mexico University. Throughout her collegiate career, Soranzo earned numerous accolades including recognition as a top defender and a top server along with MVP of the Regional Tournaments, 1st Team All-Conference Libero, 1st Team All-Regional Libero, and 1st Team All-Academic.

Coach Soranzo loves the sport and believes in teaching fundamentals and good techniques to build a solid foundation. She enjoys developing the skills needed to help athletes reach their full potential. Coach Soranzo works with private club teams including Tribe Volleyball and Phoenix Beach Volleyball. She also coaches private volleyball lessons in Miami and surrounding areas.
