A member of Gotham FC’s coaching staff since June 2020, Becki Tweed has a combined 12 years of coaching experience in the U.S. at every level – youth development academies, Division I college, professional and international.

With Gotham FC, Tweed has helped lead the team to the 2021 Challenge Cup Final, the 2021 NWSL playoffs, and the 2020 Challenge Cup semifinals. Tweed served as acting head coach in a 0-0 draw against Chicago on September 4, 2021.

The native of Bristol, England was also head coach of the Gotham FC Reserves team that won the 2021 WPSL championship. The team included five players now on NWSL rosters. For her efforts, Tweed was honored as WPSL Coach of the Year.

In 2022, Tweed served as an assistant coach for the United States in the FIFA women's U20 World Cup in Costa Rica and when the U.S. team won the championship of the Sud Ladies Cup in France.

In addition to her work with Gotham FC and for U.S. Soccer, Tweed has spent several years developing players throughout the New Jersey area. Before joining Gotham FC, she coached multiple teams within the girls’ academy at STA in Morristown. Tweed also worked as an assistant coach for Monmouth University’s women’s soccer program, helping guide the team to a conference championship.

Tweed has earned her U.S. Soccer National A Senior Coaching License and UEFA Coaching License.

Prior to coaching, Tweed played professionally for six years in the English Premier League with Millwall and Bristol City, and she represented England in international competition at the youth level.
