Becky LeGate
Camp Director
Becky LeGate brings years of experience and knowledge to the Elite Hoops staff. The former Belmont University player began her coaching career at Davidson Academy in Nashville. There, she was able to coach her varsity teams to an impressive eight regular season district championships, seven district tournament championships, two Region 5-A tournament appearances, three Division II-A East Region Regular Season Champions, two Division II-A East Region Tournament Championships, and an appearance in the Division II-A State Final Four.
After a successful career at Davidson Academy, Becky decided to take her talents to Christ Presbyterian Academy in Nashville. In her time at CPA, she has coached her team to two state championships, including a 36-3 season that set the school record in victories. Her teams have won numerous District and Region Championships as well as finishing in the State Tournament round of 12, 2 times and the Elite 8, 3 times and the before mentioned 2 State Championship Titles.
In LeGate’s Coaching Career, she was named the District Coach of the Year 6 times while at Davidson Academy and currently 8 times at Christ Presbyterian Academy. She also was named the NFHS South East Region Girls Basketball Coach of the Year in 2012, as well as the State of Tennessee’s Girls Basketball Coach of the Year. In 2021, TSSAA recognized her as a Distinguished Service Award Winner. Coach LeGate surpassed the 600th Career win mark in 2022 and currently has a Coaching record of 601-177.
