Ben Knight, former Australian professional basketball player for the Sydney Kings and two time NBL All-Star, will be at the majority of practices and games to help educate players on Olympic FIBA rules and fast-paced style of play that they will face against in Sydney. Knight played professionally in Asia, New Zealand and Australia from 1997-2011 and then went on to become an assistant coach for the Sydney Kings. Ben Knight is now an ambassador for the Sydney Kings Head Coach for the Norths Bears Championship Men's Team, Maccabi NSW Basketball Club and Balgowlah Boys High School, and Director of Coaching at Sports Camps Australia.

During his playing career, Ben captained the Singapore Slingers from 2007-09 and the Sydney Kings in 2010-11. He was a championship player for the Sydney Kings in 2004-05 NBL Season and championship coach for the Norths Bears Waratah Championship League where he also received the honor of Coach of the Year in 2012 and 2018.
