Dani Korman serves as associate head coach for the Cal women's swimming & diving program. She joined the Bears as an assistant coach prior to the 2019-20 season and was promoted to her current position in June 2020.

In addition to her on-deck duties, Korman serves as Cal's recruiting coordinator and works closely on budgeting, while also helping improve the Bears' social media presence and enrich alumnae relations. During the most recent season in 2020-21, the Golden Bears earned a Pac-12 title and secured their 15th consecutive top-5 NCAA finish with a fourth-place showing at the national championships.

Prior to moving to Berkeley, Korman served as head coach of the men's and women's teams at MIT for four years.

During her tenure, she led the women’s team to four consecutive NEWMAC titles and four straight top 10 finishes at the NCAA Division III Championships, including a program-best fifth in 2017. The Engineers placed ninth nationally this past season. On the men’s side, MIT also captured four conference titles in a row and finished sixth at the 2019 NCAA meet with Jay Lang becoming the first diver in school history to claim a national title, taking home first place on the 3-meter springboard. Combined, her teams broke 27 school records and earned 71 All-America awards.

Among honors received outside of the pool, 10 of her student-athletes collected CoSIDA Academic All-District honors, both the men’s and women’s teams earned CSCAA Scholar All-America awards each year, and Margaret Guo was named the 2017 NCAA Woman of the Year.

Korman previously spent three seasons as an assistant coach with the Yale women’s swimming & diving program. The Elis improved each year during her tenure, culminating with a third-place finish at the 2015 Ivy League Championships. Yale had three swimmers qualify for the NCAA meet and set numerous school records. The squad also earned CSCAA Scholar All-America team honors all three years.

Korman also served as an assistant men’s and women’s coach at Johns Hopkins University from 2008-12, while she was a graduate assistant coach and interim women’s head coach during a stint at Carthage College from 2006-08.

From 2004 through the present, Korman has worked at the Total Performance Swim Camp at Kenyon College and was elevated to the Elite Camp Director last May. She also served as a counselor for the University of Texas Longhorn Swimming Camp in 2007, ’08 and ’12.

Korman is a 2006 graduate of Kenyon College where she graduated with honors as an economics major and was part of two Division III national championship teams. She was a seven-time All-American at Kenyon, set the conference record in the 200-yard butterfly and served as team captain as a senior. Korman earned a master of education degree with a concentration in guidance and counseling from Carthage College in 2008.
