Beth “Spider” Roti

Beth Roti

In Summer of 2020, Coach Roti took over as lead onsite Camp Director, having previously served as Camp Co-Director to Doug Bruno and an integral part of Doug Bruno for over 30 years. Roti is a former standout DePaul player and also served as Head Coach of Kishwaukee Jr. College. On top of that she was a multi-sport star athlete at Kaneland High School and DePaul University. Currently, Beth Roti is the JV Girls Basketball Coach at Lake Forest Academy.

She earned a four-year basketball scholarship to DePaul University and, as a prolific shooter, helped lead the Lady Blue Demons to their first ever appearance in the NCAA Tournament back in 1990.

Creamean-Roti, an All-State player out of Kaneland High School, is a member of the Knights Athletic Hall of Fame. Following a record setting career as a player at Kaneland, Creamean-Roti became an All-Conference and All-Academic player at DePaul University, helping lead the 1987-88 Blue Demon team to an NIT Championship. A sharp shooting three point specialist, Creamean-Roti was also instrumental in leading the Blue Demons to their first ever NCAA Tournament appearances in 1990 and 1991. Creamean-Roti was inducted into the DePaul Athletic Hall of Fame with the NIT Championship team in 2009.

Beth Creamean-Roti has acted as the on-site Assistant Teaching Director for the Doug Bruno Girls Basketball Camps for 30 of the camp’s 40 years. She has assisted Coach Bruno throughout the development of the camp’s teaching curriculum. “It has been a privilege to learn and work alongside Coach Bruno for 30 years,” commented Coach Creamean-Roti. “His desire, passion, and dedication to girls’ basketball is amazing and I am proud to continue his tradition and legacy in the camp. Teaching young athletes the fundamentals of basketball, seeing them improve their skills, and build their self-confidence is what I love about camp. I look so forward to continue the Bruno Camp tradition.”
