Bill Mellis just completed his 24th season as the Head Boys Basketball Coach at Salesian College Preparatory. He has compiled a record of 584-170, including 13 League Titles, 10 Section Championships, 3 Nor Cal Titles and 2 State Championships (2009 & 2012).
He has been named Coach of the Year 11 times by various media outlets, most notably the 2012 ESPN Rise Cal-Hi Sports California State Coach of the Year, the 2017 California Coaches Association State Coach of the Year, and the 2019 North Coast Section Boys Basketball Honor Coach.
