Bob Hott

Bob Hott is the Assistant Volleyball Coach at the University of Mary Washington.

Bob Hott is entering his third year as a volunteer assistant coach with the Eagles.

Hott spent 20 seasons (1998-2018) as the head coach at Courtland High School, in Spotsylvania County, compiling a record of 352-115-2 with 18 regional playoff appearances, six district championships, five district tournament championships, and nine coach of the year awards. Coach Hott continues to volunteer at Courtland.

Coach Hott coached travel volleyball at the Fredericksburg Juniors Volleyball Club from 1999-2001, the Richmond Volleyball Club from 2001-13, Battlefield Elite in 2014, Apex Volleyball Club from 2014-2020, and Core VA Volleyball in 2021.

He retired after 35 years as a computer scientist at the Naval Surface Warfare Center. He has two married children, Rob (Heather) and Courtney (Todd), three granddaughters (Olivia, Addison, and Gemma), and lives in Spotsylvania County with his wife of 41 years, Wanda, and their golden retriever, Buddy.
