Brad Clifford
Having spent 36 years at Yavapai College as a student, student-athlete, assistant coach, head coach, assistant athletic director and athletic director, Brad Clifford bleeds Roughrider Green and Gold.
Clifford is no stranger to the Prescott area; he attended Prescott High School where he lettered in basketball twice and baseball twice. Following a two-year LDS mission to Quito, Ecuador, Clifford returned to Prescott and became a student at Yavapai College. Yavapai was reinstating the men’s basketball program after a 5-year hiatus and Clifford became a member of that team.

Clifford served for 7 years as the women’s assistant coach and the men’s assistant coach before taking the position as the head women’s basketball coach in 1996.
During his 15-year tenure at the helm of the Roughriders, Clifford had an overall record of 323 -143 becoming the all-time winningest basketball coach in YC history. Twice Clifford was named the WBCA Region I Coach of the Year.
Clifford coached 6 NJCAA All-Americans, 11 WBCA Kodak All-Americans 3 ACCAC freshman of the year, 58 All-ACCAC players and 3 ACCAC Players of the Year.
Following his coaching term, Clifford was named the assistant athletic director, a position that he held a short 5 months before being named the Athletic Director in 2012.
