Brennan Gravanda
Assistant Coach
Brennan Gravanda joins the Westfield State Swimming & Diving program for his first season as assistant coach after Brennan swam competitively for 17 years. A Bridgewater State alumni, he specialized in backstroke and sprint freestyle. Brennan was two time captain of the team for the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 seasons, bringing 3 championships to the program and helping set multiple relay records in his time with the team.
Before Westfield State, Brennan was working for Falcon Swim Club, a rec team that specializes in building swim technique for young swimmers. Outside of the pool Brennan, received a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and now works for Baystate Health.
In his free time, Brennan found rugby at Bridgewater State University and continued that passion and now plays for Springfield Rifles Rugby. With the drastic change in sports he has found that the swimmer work ethic can be applied to all aspects of sport and life.
