Briana Brown

Briana Brown joined Coach Mannetti's staff as the program's Coordinator of Basketball Operations in October 2017 and is entering her second season in 2018-19. Brown was a four-year standout of St. John’s University's women's basketball program before graduating with a Bachelor’s of Science degree. She is currently pursuing a Master’s in Business Management from Durham University in the United Kingdom.

Brown came to Sacred Heart after spending time as the Assistant to Director of Women’s Basketball Operations at her alma mater in 2016. She also picked up international experience overseas doubling as Assistant Coach and player for the Durham University’s women’s 1 basketball team.

Prior to joining the coaching ranks, Brown served as the Assistant to Director of Academic Support at St. John’s tutoring in numerous subjects and gained valuable video production experience working for Linacre Media covering the NBA G-League team, the Westchester Knicks. As a Red Storm student-athlete from 2010-’14, Brown’s team appeared in the NCAA Tournament each season including the 2012 run where the Johnnies made the Sweet Sixteen round. Brown captained the team as a junior and senior and was a BIG EAST All-Academic recipient. Off the hardwood, she was a Peer Mentor and inducted into the President’s Society, the most prestigious honor society at St. John’s and named Dean’s List honoree on several occasions.

As a high school standout, Brown was recognized as a McDonald’s All-American nominee after notching over 2,000 points in her career.
