SOXDWP Brittany Nikolic 150x150

Brittany Nikolic was named head coach of the women's soccer team in June of 2015, becoming just the fourth head coach in the storied history of the program. She enters her sixth year at the helm in the upcoming 2020-21 season...

Parkside finished with a 7-11-1 record in 2019 and went 2-6-1 in GLIAC play. 2019 also marked the second year in a row that Nikolic helped the program qualify for the GLIAC tournament. Nikolic also helped guide Jazmin Castanon to an All-GLIAC Honorable Mention for her 2019 campaign.

In 2018, the Rangers first year in the GLIAC, Nikolic led the team to a 6-10-2 overall record and 4-5 GLIAC record. Parkside entered the GLIAC tournament with a six seed, and fell to Saginaw Valley State in the Quarterfinals. After the 2018 season, Chloe Couves was awarded an All-GLIAC Honorable Mention selection.

In 2017, Parkside was hit hard due to conference sanctions, helping to result in a 3-12-2 record in Nikolic's third season at the helm.

After compiling a 6-8-3 record in 2015, her first season, Nikolic guided the Rangers to a 10-6-2 overall record and a 10-4-1 record in conference play in 2016 and helped the team qualify for the GLVC Tournament.

Much like her previous years, the women's soccer program continues to value education under Nikolic, as the program tied for most All-Academic selections at Parkside following the 2017 campaign. Taylor Burek, Sarah Dobrowolski and Lexie Porter all won the award for the fourth time of their careers.

Before Parkside, Nikolic served as an assistant coach at Northwestern, UNLV, and Milwaukee from 2004-2008. She helped Milwaukee to a Horizon League regular season and tournament title in 2008 and UNLV to a Mountain West Conference Tournament crown in 2006 along with a regular season title for the Rebels in 2007.

Nikolic was a standout at Stanford as a player from 2000-03, guiding the Cardinal to four NCAA Tournament appearances including a Pac-10 Conference Championship and a trip to the NCAA Quarterfinals in 2002. She finished her decorated career as a two-time Honorable Mention All-Pac 10 Conference selection and a two-time All-Pac 10 Conference Academic Honors recipient before heading to the collegiate coaching ranks.

The Los Angeles, California, native comes to Parkside after a six-year stint as head coach at NCAA Division III Alverno College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she inherited a program that collected just 20 wins in the eight years prior to her arrival on campus. Nikolic has since rewrote the record book at the all-women's college, guiding the Inferno to their best season in program history in 2013 while exiting as the program's all-time winningest coach.

Nikolic graduated from Stanford in 2004 with a bachelor's degree in American studies with a focus in politics, policy, and economics.
