Brooke Bowers enters her sixth year with the Wolverine women's basketball team, second year as Head Basketball Coach, after a successful playing career at Wayne State University in Detroit.

The 2021-2022 season ended in a 11-19 record, WHAC Conference Tournament first round appearance, 3 players earning All WHAC Second Team-All Conference, 1 All-Freshman Team, and 1 All Defensive Team. One player also recorded her 1,000 career point.

She was a part of the 2018-19 season that broke the program record in wins with 24. Bowers also was a part of the 2019-20 season where they had the programs first NAIA All-American Honorable Mention (Rozane Wells).

Bowers comes to UM-Dearborn with five years of coaching experience at the high school level. She has held head coaching positions for the Clintondale High School, Troy High School and Gabriel Richard Catholic High school.

In her playing career for WSU, Bowers was named to the GLIAC South Division All-Conference Second Team and the All-Defensive Team as a senior. She holds the school record for most made 3-pointers in a game with nine and in a career with 195.

Bowers, a native of Delphos, Ohio, graduated from Wayne State University with a Master's degree in sports administration in 2017. She currently lives in Trenton with her wife.
