Caitlyn Vann

Caitlyn Vann is a Nike Camp Director and Founder of Lionheart Volleyball Club.

Caitlyn has been coaching volleyball for over 15 years and has been playing since she was 10 years old. She played at the collegiate level at the University of Missouri where she broke numerous Tiger & BIG 12 defensive records, was a 9-time BIG 12 Defensive Player of the Week, College Volleyball Updates “CVU.com’s” National Player of the Week Honorable Mention, and helped lead the Tigers to 2 NCAA appearances, including a trip to the Sweet 16. At the high school level she was an All American, 4-time State Champion, National Champion, and a member of the USAV Youth and Junior National Teams.

She coached at the Division I level at Cal Berkeley and DePaul University, and eventually shifted to coaching at the club and high school levels in an effort to pursue her goal of opening her own club volleyball program. Over the years, Caitlyn has dedicated her time to community service and total athlete development. Her commitment to community service and growing the sport of volleyball speaks for itself. As Director of DIG it! Volleyball (a nonprofit that provided free after school volleyball and character development training for low income girls), she tripled the number of participants and partnerships and made a lasting impact on the St. Louis community. From 2016-2020 she held the role of Director of Gateway Volleyball Club, where she led the team to a 5th place finish at the AAU National Championships. 100% of the players she coached received scholarships to play at the collegiate level.

Caitlyn brings an exceptional background of high-level club volleyball experience to Lionheart VBC. She played for and continues to partner with the legendary Munciana volleyball club, a program that has produced 66 Division I coaches, has won 38 National Championships and where over 600 athletes have received scholarships to play in college. Her coaching philosophy mirrors her experience with this incredible program and she is excited to make a similar impact on the lives of young coaches and players through Lionheart VBC. With her extensive experience and wide network of volleyball contacts at the collegiate and club level, she is poised to make this vision a reality for Lionheart VBC!
