Chloe Curtis
Chloe Curtis is the head cross country coach at Loyola Marymount University and serves as a support staff member for Next Athletes and Nike Cross Country Camps.
Chloe Curtis was named the women's cross country and track and field head coach on June 9, 2021. Curtis is coming off of her fourth season as an assistant coach with the Lions, following her successful run as a student-athlete at LMU. Curtis competed for the Lions from 2013-2016. She was a part of the fastest women's cross country team in LMU history, which placed 9th at the NCAA Regional in 2014 and 3rd in the West Coast Conference.
Curtis came to LMU as a transfer from University of Washington where she was a part of the top recruiting class in the nation in 2010. While at Washington (2010-2013) Curtis placed 19th in the 800m at the 2012 Pac12 Championships despite being sidelined with injuries throughout most of her Husky career. In high school, Curtis won the California State Championship in the 1600m, as well as 6 CIF titles. She also set the CA State record in the 800m / 3200m double, and anchored Redondo Union High School’s state record 4x1600m relay which finished 2nd in the nation in 2010.
Curtis served as a volunteer assistant coach during the 2018-19 seasons and most recently as a graduate assistant while pursuing a master’s degree in counseling within LMU’s School of Education. She plans to pursue a PhD in Sport Psychology at a later date.
