Coach Chris Bonawandt is a highly respected youth development specialist known for creating top‑tier training environments that challenge, inspire, and elevate young athletes. With advanced coaching credentials, including a USSF C License and a United Soccer Coaches Premier Diploma, Chris is committed to delivering professional-level instruction rooted in modern player‑development methodology. His academic background includes a Master’s degree in Sports Management from St. John’s University, further strengthening his expertise in athlete development and program leadership.

Originally from New York, Chris spent 10 years with the New York Red Bulls Academy, one of the nation’s premier youth development programs. During his time there, he played a key role in developing top youth talent and shaping technical pathways for emerging players. Alongside his academy work, he served as the Assistant Coach at NCAA Division II Queens College, gaining valuable experience training collegiate athletes and preparing them for high‑level competition.

Chris’s coaching journey has taken him around the world, including time in Brazil with Academy SC International, where he immersed himself in one of the most influential soccer cultures on the planet. Now based in Los Angeles, he has coached with top clubs such as Real So Cal and Eagles SC, and he currently leads the Varsity Boys Soccer team at Sierra Canyon High School.
