Chris Shank

Chris Shank, a former member of the Oakland Athletics organization and a standout at Franklin Pierce, is in his seventh season as a member of the Penmen coaching staff, and was named co-interim head coach prior to the 2015 season.
A 23rd round selection of the A’s in the 2002 draft, Shank spent four seasons in the Oakland organization. After that, he spent three seasons with the Worcester Tornadoes of the Can-Am League, where he was a teammate of SNHU head coach Scott Loiseau. In 201 career professional appearances, Shank compiled a 21-18 record and 3.78 ERA.
Prior to arriving at SNHU, Shank was an assistant coach at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
Shank spent three seasons at Franklin Pierce from 2000-02, where he was also a teammate of Loiseau. As a junior in 2002 he was 9-2 with a 2.60 ERA en route to Northeast-10 Pitcher of the Year honors. He still ranks among the Raven career leaders in innings (243.2), complete games (17), strikeouts (235) and wins (20). Shank was inducted into the Franklin Pierce Hall of Fame in 2013.
