Chris Zambri, a former USC All-Pac-10 performer and longtime Nationwide Tour veteran, is the acting USC men's golf head coach.

Zambri has established himself as among the top coaches in the nation and has taken his team to the NCAA Championships final in each of his first eight years.

Zambri's teams have won 18 events (as of Nov. 1, 2014), including Pac-10 titles in 2007 and 2011 and NCAA Regionals in 2008 and 2012. His 2008 team came within three strokes of first place at the NCAA Championships. Trojan golfers have also won 17 individual crowns under Zambri (as of Nov. 1, 2014).

The 2013-14 Trojans featured a pair of PING All-American third teamers in freshman Rico Hoey and junior Anthony Paolucci, who led the team to the eighth straight NCAA Championship final under Zambri. The squad won once and posted six top 3 finishes and tied for fourth in a tight NCAA Sugar Grove Regional to earn a spot into the NCAA final. Hoey was named Pac-12 Freshman of the Year with one of the top seasons in USC golf history, leading USC in stroke average (71.36), top 10 finishes (eight), rounds in the 60s (16), birdies (165) and eagles (eight). Hoey and Paolucci earned 2014 GCAA All-West Region honors, Paolucci was All-Pac-12 second team and three others earned honorable mention honors. Hoey also represented the U.S. on the 2014 Palmer Cup team.

Zambri, 40, played six years on the Nationwide Tour and was an active teaching professional when he was not competing. A 1993 USC graduate who played for the Trojans from 1989 to 1993, Zambri played six seasons on the Nationwide Tour between 1997 and 2004. He finished as high as 19th on the circuit's money list in 1998, posting two second-place finishes that year. He competed in four PGA Tour events as well as the 1995 and 1999 U.S. Opens. As a Trojan, he was a two-time All-Pac-10 second team selection in 1991 and 1993.
