Former UC San Diego standout player and assistant coach Clint Allard returned to the Triton staff in April of 2014 as Associate Head Coach.

Allard returned to La Jolla after spending the 2012-13 and 2013-14 seasons as an assistant coach with CCAA member school Cal Poly Pomona.

Prior to his stint at Cal Poly Pomona, Allard spent four seasons as an assistant coach at UCSD, joining the staff for its 2008-09 campaign.

Allard's coaching experience includes coordinating recruiting, travel, camps, scouting, video/film operations, team equipment, academic oversight and community outreach. He also has extensive knowledge in player development, running individual workouts for both post and perimeter players.

A four-year starter and three-time team captain at UCSD, Allard posted career averages of 10.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.2 steals in 112 games as a Triton.

One of the most prolific players the program has ever seen, Allard's name can be found all over the UCSD record books. The former Archbishop Mitty High School product ranks fourth in all-time career assists (414) and 10th in career assist average (3.7). His 1,150 career points rank in the top-15 in school history.

In terms of UCSD's Division II-era (since 2000-01) career records, Allard ranks first in steals (130) and can be found in the top 10 for points (1,150), field goals made (364), field goals attempted (835), three-point field goals made (123), three-point field goals attempted (320), three-point field goal percentage (.384), free throws made (299), free throws attempted (402), rebounds (387), assists (414), assists average (3.7), steals average (1.2), games played (112), minutes (3,378) and minutes average (30.2).

In 2007-08, Allard was named to the All-CCAA Second Team after averaging 9.8 points and career-highs in rebounds (3.9), assists (4.6) and steals (1.2). He also earned All-CCAA Tournament Team honors that season after leading the Tritons to their first conference tourney championship. The victory advanced UCSD to the NCAA Division II West Regional for the first time. The Tritons went on to finish the season with an overall record of 18-1.

As a freshman in 2004-05, Allard led the Tritons in scoring, averaging 9.3 points per game over 26 contests.

Allard graduated from UCSD in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Science. In 2010, he earned a master's degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration in Exercise and Sports Science from Concordia in Irvine.
