Camp Director
Directing camp will be Cody Golon!
Cody Golon enters his second year at Point Park University after spending the past year recruiting Point Park's first men's lacrosse roster. The Pioneers begin competition in the spring of 2026.
Golon arrived as Point Park's men's lacrosse head coach from Washington & Jefferson College, located just 35 minutes outside of Pittsburgh.
During his tenure at W&J, Golon served as the head coach for the men's lacrosse team from 2021 through 2024. Through his three seasons, he coached nine all-conference players, coached the program's first Academic All-American, had the highest scoring offense at W&J in the last decade (during the 2022 season), had the best scoring defense in the last decade (during the 2023 season), as well as having the best clearing percentage in the last decade (during the 2023 season).
Before becoming the head coach at Washington and Jefferson, Golon was the head coach at La Roche University in 2021, where he led the Redhawks to a 2-2 record during a shortened 2021 season due to Covid-19.
Golon also served as an assistant coach at his alma mater, Seton Hill University in 2019 and 2020. As assistant coach, he specialized as the Offensive Coordinator for a team that finished 12-5 during the 2019 season. The team also won the GMAC regular season championship and earned a bid to the NCAA Division II Playoffs.
For two seasons before going back to Seton Hill, Golon served as the assistant coach and head JV coach at Peters Township High School. During his time at Peters Township, the Indians posted a 33-11 record while securing two section and WPIAL championships as well as two PIAA state playoff berths. At Peters Township, Golon coached three All-Americans, a WPIAL Player of the Year, and multiple all-section award winners.
Golon is a 2015 graduate of Seton Hill University where he earned his bachelor's degree in Communications while also competing collegiately as a student-athlete for the Griffins.
During his playing career, Seton Hill qualified for the postseason three times while making the NCAA Tournament in 2013 followed by back-to-back appearances in the ECAC Tournament in 2014 and 2015. While at Seton Hill, Golon was named the PSAC Player of the Week after the Griffins beat the #1 ranked team in the country.
Golon was born and raised in Pittsburgh as he grew up in Whitehall and attended Baldwin-Whitehall High School. At BWHS, he was a four-year letter winner for the lacrosse team and was named the WPIAL DII Player of the Year during his senior season.
