Cristina Johnson was announced as the head coach of the women's lacrosse program at Johnson & Wales University on January 27, 2015.

Johnson, a native of Hempstead, Maryland, played four seasons locally at NCAA Division II’s Regis University. As a member of the Ranger’s squad, she scored 58 goals and her 73 total points were eighth in Regis history. During her senior season, the Rangers went 12-2 including a 6-0 in Western Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association play and the WILA Championship.

Following graduation, Johnson joined the Rangers coaching staff as a graduate assistant. She spent three seasons as part of a staff that oversaw the Rangers move from the WILA to the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference as the RMAC made women’s lacrosse their 22nd sponsored sport. In Johnson’s tenure on the Regis staff, the Rangers earned the inaugural RMAC Championship as well as 27 all-conference honorees over three seasons.

In addition to her experience on the Regis University coaching staff, Johnson served as both an assistant and head coach with Denver Summit lacrosse.
