Curtis R. Madden II

Coach Curtis R. Madden II is entering his 3rd season as a Dana Hills Football Coach and his 1st as Co-Head Coach.

The Dolphin Football program has made productive strides since he has joined “The POD”. Under his direction and leadership, the program improved it’s wins from the previous season. 2019-2020 marked the first time in school history that the football program was undefeated (6-0) after the initial 6 games of the season.

Coach Madden’s football background started at Denison High School (Denison, Tx) where he was a Two-Time All-District Selection (among several other awards) as a running back. He was also a member of the only State Championship team in the school’s history (’84) and the 7th running back to rush for over 1,000 yds in 81 years of Denison football his Senior year. He earned a D1 scholarship to play football at Kansas State University. There he was a member of The Foundation that achieved The Greatest Turnaround in NCAA History, which was told in the documentary The Miracle in Manhattan.

Coach Madden has been coaching for 25 years in Texas and California. With stops at JSerra Catholic and National Powerhouse Mission Viejo, he has been a part of 7 League Championships, 2 CIF Championships, and a California State Championship.

Coach Madden is a 1991 graduate from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree In Life Sciences.
