Daniel Cornelison is a highly skilled USPTA Elite Tennis Professional with 25 years of experience in coaching and managing tennis programs across various levels, from college and university to private facilities. Known for his deep understanding of the sport, Daniel excels in developing tennis programs that promote growth for players of all ages and skill levels. His passion for fostering talent, particularly in junior players, has driven him to create structured pathways for advancement, ensuring players reach their full potential both on and off the court.
Throughout his career, Daniel has built a reputation for his expertise in coaching and mentoring. He has a strong track record of designing and implementing tennis programs that are both engaging and challenging. His approach to coaching is student-focused, with personalized assessments and tailored development plans that ensure each individual improves at their own pace. Whether working with beginners or seasoned players, Daniel consistently demonstrates his commitment to enhancing skill levels and promoting a love for the game.
Daniel’s leadership abilities shine in his role as Managing Tennis Director at Burns Park Tennis Center, where he manages a large facility that includes 24 outdoor hard courts, 6 indoor hard courts, and 12 outdoor pickleball courts. He oversees a team of tennis professionals and part-time staff, coordinating tennis clinics, private lessons, and seasonal events. His past experiences, including his tenure as Tennis Director at Hot Springs Country Club and Head Teaching Professional at LR Racquet Club, further showcase his ability to manage complex tennis operations while maintaining high standards of excellence.
In addition to his extensive experience on the court, Daniel is certified as a USPTA Elite Professional and holds specialized certifications in both 10 & under and 11-18 performance coaching. His education in tennis biomechanics, through Dr. Bryan Gordon's program, further enhances his ability to teach the finer details of the game. Daniel’s dedication to continued professional development, combined with his strong leadership and mentoring skills, makes him an exceptional coach and mentor to his students.
