Melissa Wild
Camp Coach
Melissa Wild, originally from Veracruz, Mexico, has a strong tennis background, having won several national tournaments and achieving a national ranking of 5th at 14 years old. She continued her development at one of Mexico’s top tennis academies in Merida before playing Division II college tennis at Northeastern State University in Oklahoma, where she earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Biochemistry. She played both singles and doubles and was named team captain in her senior year.
Melissa has a passion for coaching, having worked with young children during high school and college. She has competed in the 4.5 NTRP league and currently plays at the 5.0 NTRP level, maintaining a high level of play throughout her adult career.
Through her work with the performance group at Burns Park Tennis Center, Melissa has rediscovered her love for the game and is eager to teach beginners of all ages. She is excited to share her knowledge and help others develop a lifelong enjoyment of tennis.
