Daris Rodriguez

Daris Rodriquez is the Head Volleyball Coach at Sarasota High School.

-14 years playing career, including travel club from 9-13 years old; the Puerto Rico National Team (2003-2005); the Liga de Voleibol Superior Femenino (2002-2005); Lakeland Community College Varsity-NCAA D1 (2005-2007) and Lynn University Varsity-NCAA D2 (2007-2009);

-All American in 2006 at Lakeland Community College;

-All Region, All State & All-American 2007 & 2008 at Lynn University;

-Athlete of the Year at Lynn University 2009;

-Graduated from Lynn University with a B.A. in Human Services in 2009;

-Induced to the Lakeland Community College Athlete Hall of Fame in 2010;

-Graduated from Springfield College with a M.S. in Mental Health Counseling in 2011;

-Induced to the Lynn University Athlete Hall of Fame in 2016: Led Lynn's volleyball team to the first two NCAA Tournament appearances in the program's history. Two-time AVCA All-American. To-time All-Sunshine State Conference selection. 2007 Blue & White Athlete of the Year. Left program with records for block assists, total blocks and blocks per set in a season.

-13 years of experience working as a Mental Health Therapist and practiced family and individual therapy for children and families.

-9 years of volleyball coaching experience, working with youth 8 - 12 years old, and teens 13-18 years old. Travel club teams included Club Steel (2014-2019) 8U-12U, Dynamite Volleyball Club (2019-2021) 14U & 16U, Wave Volleyball Alliance (2021-2023) 14U & 15U. Currently coaching at Elite Prep Volleyball Academy Open and club divisions,12U, 14U, and 15U.

-Assistant coach at Out-of-Door Academy years 2021-2022

-Sarasota High School Head Volleyball Coach / Indoor and Beach volleyball since April 2022.
