At Elmhurst, Dr. Jensen is the Program Director for Cybersecurity and serves as the advisor to the University's Esports Club. He teaches classes in 2-D Game Design as well as the more traditional computer science and cybersecurity coursework to both graduate and undergraduate students.
Dr. Dean Jensen began teaching at Elmhurst University in 2002 as a part-time instructor in the Computer Science and Information Systems Department while working in the Web design, development and hosting industry. He completed his Ed.D. in Higher Education and Organizational Change at Benedictine University in 2011 where he researched the use of social networking technologies to build virtual communities among Chicago's creative sector, and then accepted a full-time teaching position in 2017 after spending seven years in the University's IT Department as its Director of Infrastructure and Web Applications.
