Assistant Coach
DeMarlo Slocum
Slocum enters his second year as the assistant coach for UNLV men's team. In 2020, he was named one of the top assistant coaches in the Mountain West by Stadium’s Jeff Goodman, and prior to that he was one of the 50 impactful mid major assistant coaches by Silver Waves Media.
- Slocum, a Las Vegas native, came to UNLV after serving as an assistant coach at Utah for eight years (2011-19), which included multiple NCAA Tournaments and a total of seven postseason appearances. He was also instrumental in the development of three NBA First Round Draft Picks while at the Pac-12 school.
- Prior to his time at Utah, Slocum spent four years as an assistant coach at Colorado State and was at Idaho as an assistant coach for one year before that.
- Solcum was the head coach of the Las Vegas Prospects AAU team for five years where he worked at various collegiate basketball development camps across America.
